There is no twisting! Ex 16:16. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.
Ex 31:15. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

No twisting, but go back a few weeks to Ex12 and we know that the Children of Israel were slaves working 7days a week in Egypt.

I detect you're trying to highlight show that Sabbath preceded Sinai........but you wont be honest and see when it was first given in Ex16.

Jesus said it was made for man. When was everything made that was made?
Feigned dementia doesn't help you - it only reveals incompetence. If nothing else, everyone can see that when you're confronted with Scripture, you have nothing to reconcile your opinion with it. Here you threw away the Bible and posted rhetoric attempting to force-fit an unbiblical idea in it's stead. This reveals that the Bible isn't the basis of your beliefs.

Is there another reason? I do not believe God placed it there because He had nothing else to do.
In both of these responses, you didn't respond to the content or questions confronting you. You didn't even try. All you did was excuse your twist against Holy Writ, as if it were a common thing you can throw away.

would you promote Sabbath if it were not in the law?

Here's the CRUX of ALL hair splitting and thinking up nonsense ever vented over the Sabbath.

The true reason for the Sabbath—the Resurrection of Jesus on the Sabbath—, was hijacked by Sundayists. They robbed the Sabbath's sole honour and bestowed it upon the Day of the lord Sun. They made the Day of the lord Sun the Lord's Day.

HOW? What was that honour belonging to the Seventh Day Sabbath OF THE LORD GOD?

In the beginning after the fall it was Christ through grace and mercy in the Seventh Day in Genesis 3:8 to 24;

At the Passover of Yahweh it was Christ through grace and mercy in the Sabbath and “third day” in Exodus 14:13-31;

And at the Passover of Yahweh again, it was Christ through grace and mercy in the Sabbath—, in all the Gospels and finally in Matthew 27:62 to 28:1-4, Ephesians 1:19-23 Colossians 2:12-19 Hebrews 4:8-10 et al.

These Scripture all were attributed to Sunday through centuries of man’s thoughts and contemplations and considerations and preferences TAKEN FOR GRANTED through the POWER OF TRADITION AND POPULARITY WITH PEOPLE, instead of the fear of God and suffering for His Name’s sake.

Now this is what <<twist against Holy Writ>> is.

You don't even quote a Scripture; you just ACCUSE---no more than ACCUSE, and falsely. Elder111 posted what is written and posted it TRUTHFULLY.

You did the <twisting against Holy Writ>.

What does <Holy Writ> mean to you but your rock to stone with!

Astounding! Witness illustration of SELF-WITNESS and ego— it’s unbelievable yet to the letter and spirit of it, exact and pertinent. Goodness gracious me! I have never seen the peer of a self-portrait!

By the way, where are you picking up your phraseology?

When Moses returned to Egypt the Israelites rested on the Sabbath. Ex. 5:And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
There is no need to twist, we find in God's word clear support for the facts.
Twisting is required to deny the Sabbath before Sinai not to support it.

You wrote two posts to complain about my posts, but in neither response did you identify anything that you disagree with. Or, are you just being contentious for no reason because you have already reduced everyone to "Sundayists" as you posted to someone else? Most of us have publicly stated that Sunday Sabbatarianism is just as fraught with errors as Saturday Sabbatarianism.

Elder111 doesn't acknowledge Scripture attesting to the origin and jurisdiction of the Sabbath, from the Law's record itself. His usual rhetorical questions are his method of rejecting the answers staring him in the face, and when he does quote Scripture it usually refutes his own opinion. That's what you're defending.

Try responding to content.

You've already been dragged onto the carpet for replacing the Sabbath with a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer a sacrifice with this reference. That doesn't help establish the Sabbath's origin prior to the manna experience, itself about a month before the covenant from Mount Sinai was declared.
