I can not answer many questions from many biology students, even they are only half semester into the Biol 101.

There are horrible things in this world that cannot be unseen. This is one for the books. If I die from Alzheimer's (which is actually likely for me if lung cancer doesn't happen first) I will remember this until death.

You can spend one year to take a peek of petrology. You will have your eyes opened after that. No need to vow anything about death.

I think the point the OP is trying to make is that a person should understand the counter-arguments and be able to understand and interpret the materials that oppose their own view in order to be justifiably stalwart in their own position.

Faith. As a result of what I believe is a deep psychological need for whatever flavor of religion to which they adhere to be true. That's what I think, at least.
