Adams Rib: The Hebrew word often translated as "rib" is
"צלע" (tsela), which can also mean "side." Some scholars argue that the traditional interpretation of "rib" may not fully capture the original meaning. Interpreting "tsela" as "side" can suggest a more profound connection between man and woman.
WHY did God make male and female, man and women? We are told that marriage is type of Christ and His church.
- Genesis 1:27 (NIV): "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
- Genesis 2:24 (NIV): "That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."
Genesis 1:27 says mankind. Genesis 2:24 says man that we all know as Adam in the Garden of Eden. Take a look at verse 2:4. "These
are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens".
The key here is "generations". Usually, the word we use for that is genealogy. You can have your DNA tested to see how accurate it can be.
The
genetic history of the Middle East is the subject of research within the fields of human
population genomics,
archaeogenetics and
Middle Eastern studies. Researchers use
Y-DNA,
mtDNA, and
other autosomal DNA tests to identify the genetic history of ancient and modern populations of
Egypt,
Persia,
Mesopotamia,
Anatolia,
Arabia, the
Levant, and other areas.
We have History, Science and the Bible. They all agree, there is no conflict anywhere. IN FACT History, Science and Archeology shows us how accurate and True our Bible is.
