Plan 9 said:To all the staff members here who have also so far apologized:
I think I could decide within 11 hours and even less that I might have misinterpreted a rule, was too overzealous in applying rules and deleting posts and threads and I'd be able to come forward and publicly apologize.
But in all honesty it would take me more than 11 hours, I might even need more than 11 days, to go through the inner process of asking myself whether or not I have been biased, whether or not I favorite a member and in doing my fav member a favor I deleted a thread/post, whether or not I deleted a thread/post simply because I personally don't like the poster/member, whether or not I agreed with a fellow mod and had my part in throwing out an appeal.
Statements/hints of these kind have been made and they are still there. I don't see a post where a member said "I take that back, I was hurt and angry and overdid it with my remark". What I am trying to say is that I can perfectly understand if mods are confused as to what they are to apologize for - being heavy-handed or being biased (for example).
I am not a mod, it doesn't affect me directly. But I must say I am very confused. I am confused and I am left confused because I do know that there is an appeals forum and I do know that staff action can be discussed there and that a member can even post a pm he/she received to back up their claim. I am confused why claims are made in a place where evidence/proof/back up cannot be provided instead of a place where it can be provided (and by pointing out to a rule a person "admits" he/she is aware of the rule). So I am also confused as why that has been done.
I am not asking for an explanation.
