the part of the book that was quoted in the article was from the last few chapters of the 4th book. It was the most evil thing done in the entire series and was done by the villian. The heros of the book make it clear that what was done was horrible, and also that evil like that can't be used for good.
I don't want to get into this debate, but it does bother me when people quote the villan of a book, and then imply that that is what the book promotes. If the villian of a book is not bad, wrong, and evil, than what kind of villian is he? If every character in every book were good, what conflict and what kind of plot would you have?
