CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

so is gluttony, lust, sloth, despair, etc. it's not good for us to be looking around at others, but only ourselves and how we succumb to demons.

Grandmother is in the hospital, not doing well at all. Had covid about a month ago and although she “recovered” she’s been struggling for the whole time. Things took a turn early this morning and aren’t sure how long she’ll live. Prayers are appreciated

Today after liturgy, passed two parishioners who were talking. They were both laid off this past week. Different companies & industries. Prayers that God's will be done in their life!

Prayers needed for my college success. I have done very well until now, where I'm in a class where we are graded as teams instead of individually. Consequently, I'm now getting bad grades which could negatively affect my scholarship criteria. I can't handle debt...
