CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Update on my nephew: it is only a month since the accident, and he is wrapped up and scarred all over (his face was spared in the explosion) but he is up and walking (carefully, with difficulty, and in pain, but walking)! He still has a long uphill battle and will need homecare; his home situation is complex and not good. But his recovery is miraculous given the extensive damage!

Would like to request prayer please.
Just got in a minor car accident. I actually feel very sorry for the young lady who rear-ended me. She was very shaken up. I am hoping and hoping it will not be any injuries because I don't want to have to involve reports and insurance for her sake. So far just a little headache. I'm really hoping there is nothing more than minor car damage but I did hit my head. I was on the way to a dr appt already, and he said if I have any more symptoms to go to ER, and that would involve insurance. But he said if I feel fine for a couple of days I can let it go and not worry. So - I'm praying that I'm fine. She was so upset, and I'd really like nothing to come of it.

Please pray for rain for southern British Columbia. So many fires. Visibility is less than a hundred feet right now where I live from the smoke, my lungs hurt, eyes burn, and there are many many people suffering far worse. Lord have mercy.
