CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everyone,
I am in need of interviews to come through that will lead to a job ASAP. Have applied to many places online and am signed up with employment agencies, but nothing has come of it yet. Have very, very little finances coming in at the moment. Due to a loophole on my employer's part, I'm not able to collect full unemployment benefits as I look for work.

I can't help but mention her.
I was new to the whole idea of asking for intercession, and not entirely comfortable with it. I had been out of work for a couple of years. My husband was working in another state for over six months, and I only saw him on visits. I asked St. Xenia's prayers ... and within days I had a job, he lost his job, but then he came home and immediately found another job which he has been with ever since and they treat him very well and provide him with plenty of work. He's in construction, and turnover after a few months isn't unusual, nor is days or even weeks with no work. But for almost two years now, things have been different.
And my job is such that I can attend Church when we have it (my number one concern) AND I haven't lost my job in spite of being out for several months now.
So I can't help but suggest asking her prayers.
I hope it all works out for you, well and quickly!

I would like to ask for prayers again as well. I let my other thread die, and I think it needs to stay buried. I'm almost done with treatments, one more week to go (though that is supposed to be stronger).
I can really use prayer though. The pain is getting difficult, the fatigue is back, but I can't sleep much. Worst of all I'm not able to turn it to prayer myself - my prayers are suffering too.
Just one more week, then it will soon start to heal, they tell me. By 5 more weeks I should be mostly past it.
God is good. But I am weak, lol.

My cousin just received a diagnosis stating that her breast cancer is back. It's very aggressive, and she is very young. please pray!

I'd very much like to ask for prayers for Stabat Mater
As some of us know his melanoma progressed rather unexpectedly and since the start of the month he's been having Chemo.
