CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Praying for Bro. Tom's grandson at this difficult time in his life. We know nowadays teenagers have more challenges to deal with; public schools and students have more difficulties and challenges to overcome. Being a Christian, he will have the Lord to help him through any ordeals. It is good his parents are Christians and can give him support and encouragement. Talking to a Christian counselor would be beneficial and supportive also, as well as Christian friends or a Christian support group.

Joining in prayer for your grandson, Tom.
I think it must be a very difficult world to grow up in right now, but praise God that he is a Christian and that he is surrounded by Christians. Romans 8 v 28 comes to mind. I pray that the Lord will bring good out of this situation, and that your grandson will choose God's way and know His love and protection. Also praying for wisdom for those who are helping him.

Thank you sincerely. My wife and I were talking about this just last night. Yes, this is a difficult age without any emotional problems. We firmly believe that God will bring good out of this.

First, thank you sincerely for your prayers for my grandson. It appears that there is some progress.
Second, it appears that quite a few of us might be on the night watch from time to time. I like to listen to music at night, and Southern Gospel is my favorite. CBN is free and easy to use. Just pick your channel and go to a forum or whatever. It plays in the background, and I enjoy it. I found it by doing a search for "Southern Gospel". CBN was on top of the list. I also keep a small Bible Study program called Xiphos open to look up Scripture. It's small, but it has everything I need. I have them all open right now while I enjoy Christian Forums.

May I suggest that you try Melatonin about 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep? It's over the counter and usually found with the vitamins.
