Agreeing in prayer for the families who have lost loved ones in the hurricanes, shootings, and the fires in California. Praying for the people near where the fires are located; that they can all get evacuated safely. Praying for those who lost businesses and homes.

Please would you pray for David (a relative of an acquaintance) who is in his eighties and has been fighting infectious illnesses for some time. I think he believes in God but I don't know if he is saved. Please would you pray that he puts his trust in Jesus for salvation and that, if the end is near, he peacefully passes into the presence of the Lord. Thank you.

Praying for Stormi - her faith and healing, and thanks to everyone else who does so.

I have heard that Stormi's lump has almost disappeared and she is praising God and thanks everyone for their prayers.

Thank God for the good medical report for Stormi, that the lump is leaving and has almost disappeared! That is great news! Praying that the lump will completely leave and for total healing in Stormi's body.

Would you pray for salvation for some ex-neighbours of mine, who have just moved out, please? I didn't have time to say much about the Lord to them, so would you join me in asking the Lord to bring others into their lives who can lead them to faith in Jesus? Also for the Lord's protection over them.

I'd appreciate prayer too as I'm feeling sad about losing them as neighbours. Many thanks.

Thank you very much for your prayers Gail, hope and Tom. The Holy Spirit prompted me to pray with one of them in the past - not for salvation, but for issues concerning her, but now they've suddenly moved, and we had no plans to keep in touch, so I can't do anymore. I'm just trusting that the Lord brings people into their lives to help them into the Kingdom. Thanks for joining me in this prayer my friends.

I was just thinking about this beautiful portion of Scripture:

Romans 8:26-28 (ESV)
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Our friend Dave (davedajobauk) has asked for prayer for his sister Janet (whom we prayed for a little while ago when she had a tracheotomy). She has had a stroke, and Dave would be very grateful for our prayers for her. He posted:
"Apparently Janet has been in hospital since Monday
Her potassium level is practically zero
and she couldn't stand, to have that shower
and so, is having to be bed bathed
It's believed that she hasn't been eating"

He also asked me to post the messages he has received from his nephew Mark to explain the issue.

Latest news from her son 'Mark' this morning

a real bad chest infection but
there's a mass on her left lung
and she has lost the use
of her left arm but she can
wiggle her fingers she's
looking pretty frail atm
hopefully antibiotics will clear
the infection but they are

Please could we include Dave's prospective move to Bristol in our prayers too? I think he'd be much happier near his sister now she is going through this, and his daughter is anxious for him to move, but available property there is in short supply. Many thanks everyone.

Yes, this will be a matter of prayer. I was under the mistaken impression that he SHOULD have already moved.

I wish that Brother Dave would come back to Christian Forums. I think that we could all make him comfortable here again.

I'll pass that message on Tom. I think he reads this thread but I'm not sure.

He was hoping to move, but the accommodation situation is so tight that he hasn't been able to do so.
However our God can do miracles, so I'm praying for just the right accommodation to be made available if the Lord wants him there.

Dave sent a message on Tuesday, which I've only just seen today, to say that Janet had a mass on her lung, which has proved not to be cancer, and she is now being treated for pneumonia. She is also being transferred to a hospital nearer to her family.

Thanks for praying Tom and Hope and anyone else who has done so.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for David. I'm just letting you know that I found out today that he died last week. He was ready to go, and I think our prayers were answered as he had a clergyman praying with him before the end. So although it is sad for his family - and his daughter is very upset - it may be that a miracle of salvation happened. Thank you so much my friends for joining in prayer with me for David.

I have given my 'word'
that I will remain here, until my end of days
and I will not, go-back on my word
Yesterday [Tuesday] when I awoke, I felt a slight 'tickle'
deep in my larynx and sought to 'huff it up' ~in the manner,
that the physiotherapist (at the hospital) taught me, that I should
> to clear excess-mucus from my lungs

It was one of those feelings you get, when you inhale a cat hair
into your throat but, it gets caught, half way down and blows-around
/ flaps around, with every inhalation and expiration (?)

I did not cough very-strongly but even such little exertion
so-affected my diaphragm, that pain was experienced from that area
during further-respirations
I turned to my left side, intending, to cough downwards (to clear that hair)
only then, to feel my heart 'grabbed' by internal compression
As I lay back upon my three pillows, the gripping relented
and I had thoughts, regarding 'how long, my pets would have-to wait'
for someone to call (and not, get an answer!) and investigate WHY

"If it be your will Lord, then let it be"
I slept for another hour perhaps and when I awoke
'those symptoms' had gone
"don't put off until tomorrow, those things you can do, today"

I am back_ I have, been looking-in to read this thread
and, joined in requested-prayers and intentions while unable, to post
Today, I determined to request Admin' to-rescind my self-ban [request]
and so permit me, to share my days, (however-many)
with my friends and family, here

Bro. Dave, it is a blessing to see you back at the Golden Eagles! Praying for your sister Janet, after having a stroke, for her strength to be renewed, and for her complete recovery. Thankful that the mass was not cancerous in her body. Praying for her family. Praying for your physical health and strength from God, Bro. Dave, for complete healing. Praying that God works everything out for your moving and provisions, and for your family.
