She's not a scientist. She's not a psychologist.

What will come as a bigger surprise are the actual facts...you know, the kind that aren't theoretical or ideological.

Did you know it's a fact we can't accurately diagnose trans people better than 50% of the time until after age 15? Confidence in diagnosis rises each year after 15. Prior to that desistance rates are simply too high.

Even then, the 15yo age threshold is merely an average. Complications like child abuse or ADHD or autism can complicate matters.

transgenderism isn't a disease so there is no diagnosing involved

If we're just going from the layman's idea? I'd say yes....it contains both a delusion of reality or appearance of one....and a significant difficulty in normal life functioning.

Such issues tend to fall under the broad scope of mental illness.



How would you prove it erroneous?

For something to be a mental illness dysfunction in areas of daily life the dysfunction has to be caused by the mental condition not by the actions and responses of those around the individual
