ay be what we need is a subforum to discuss things pertaining to the Torah. The rule should be anything that directly discusses Torah, or uses the Torah as its basis for argument should be moved there. That way almost all discussions from the NT can be moves there in one swift swoop as nearly all the new testament finds its basis somewhere in the Torah.

Steve

There is an isolated learning process that is initiated by the Holy Spirit of God, and is maintained by the Holy Spirit of God, and Completed by the Holy Spirit of God .

in the new covenant passages describing this . the law or any written commandment are not mentioned .

this is why it is the kingdom that moth cannot destroy, and thief cannot break in . because by carnal reasoning God is unreachable .

I don't think it's being intolerant of people's views but law vs grace discussions (which is what that is) has been talked to death. Not only that but those who like to talk about that tend to over ride all other threads. I think what the op is saying is that if those threads were on a subforum (which could easily fill a forum of their own) other topics would have to come up to fill it.

Actually, the Sabbath has nothing to do with law vs grace but rather God's directives to all. Don't make excuses for the op. His post was offensive, dismissive and a really ugly witness!

Yeshua didn't need to SAY it, He LIVED it.
If we are to be like Him, we should strive to live like Him.
Are we not called to be Christ-like?

I could go into a long, detailed, boring thesis about how the day of worship was changed and why but I must ask would it matter?
I would like to point out that the name "Sunday" was given to the first day of the week by the Romans to honor their pagan god of the sun.
The Apostles continued to meet on The Sabbath, following the example of Yeshua, after His resurrection.
Constantine is reported to have changed the church from the seventh day to the first day of the week to accommodate the newly "Christianized Pagans".
Is this dispute worth placing a stumbling block before your brothers and sisters?
Is this dispute worth dividing the Body into small factions and therby reduce the effectiveness of our witness to the lost in this world?
Is it worth damaging our witness so you can "win an argument"?

Romans 14.4:
Who are you to pass judgement on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

Tobit 12.18:
As for me, when I was with you, I was not acting on my own will, but by the will of God. Bless him each and every day; sing his praises.

Ecclesiasticus 33.7:
Why is one day more important than another,
when all the daylight in the year is from the sun?

Romans 14.5:
Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.

Can this be laid to rest?
Can the healing begin?
Can we pray for one another without feeling superior?

In HIS Service

Pastor Steve

I'm sorry you're so confused!
Try Matthew 1:1-25, the lineage of Jesus. All them bloomin Jewish names!!
Or Luke 4:16-21 when Jesus preached good news to the poor on the Sabbath.
Or Hebrews 4:4-13 Ooo, pay attention to verse 11. It's a real zinger since we are going to pay for every soul we lead into disobedience.
Warp it and twist it til the cows come home and you feel all warm and fuzzy but "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." That includes all your imaginary Jesuses!

Provided the area also incorporates the other teachings related to Saturday Sabbath...
..I.E. Michael the archangel is Christ, soul - sleep & God could have killed Christ permanantely.
..My answer is also yes if the above can be combined.

Or simply create a section in U.T. for it.

I'm confused-would other forums (such as the Messianic forum) be eliminiated
and put into this new forum? Would it also include SDA?
I'm not sure I understand what a Sabbatarian is.

I don't think so .

Congregational areas and Theology areas have separate purposes .

this is just to place sabbath related discussions in its own separate sub-area in the theology discussion area .

Okay, thanks. It seems a couple of Messianics are concerned so I wondered
what the issue was.

I think all these walls are just so we can focus on what we do have in common wherever we post . well sorta anyway .

I would choose other:

I'd actually rather Sabbath keeping be with Messianic. It seems that it would be nice to work our way toward fewer divisions even if it tests peoples ability to be kind and considerate of those with aposing views.

If it will help people find topics of interest easier, it would be a yes for me.

Isn't that against the rules? Right now Messianics only are allowed to post anything meaningful.

I mean if they don't even want Jews to post there (except for fluff), why
would they make an exception for a different group of people?
