how about "arguing semantics for those with little time to focus on real topics" (sorry... couldn't resist)
how about "endless arguing with people against something that's really important to them but about which you could really care less" :p
I could name a few boards like that already, but CF Staff needs more serious input on a name for the sub-board.

I brought up "Sabbathology" for example. The question is, what sub-board would it be put under.

making a subforum because people can't be tolerant of differing views is silly but that's MHO
That is not the reason for a seperate catagory. At least the hostility would be more confined and easier to moderate.

If you subforum to death though, you lose a variety of discussion and perspective. That's all. I find most subforums are just a place people can go to argue rather than discuss.
Concerning these subjects what is really happening anyway. GT would still be diverse.

From what I have seen, that is generally the case on any forum/sub-forum.
I mean, how many threads are enough to discuss a certain topic?

This is the # of threads just on the GT board concerning the Sabbath! Thoughts?

Showing results 1 to 25 of 115 for "sabbath" on GT
Search took 3.15 seconds.
What more evidence could be found to justify such a subforum? It would fill up easily and be popular. Maybe even more popular than GT. Is GT jealous? They act like this would kill GT.

ay be what we need is a subforum to discuss things pertaining to the Torah. The rule should be anything that directly discusses Torah, or uses the Torah as its basis for argument should be moved there. That way almost all discussions from the NT can be moves there in one swift swoop as nearly all the new testament finds its basis somewhere in the Torah.
