If you subforum to death though, you lose a variety of discussion and perspective. That's all. I find most subforums are just a place people can go to argue rather than discuss.

You are saying this as if the subforum is the cause of it. If people want to argue rather than discuss they will do it whether in a subforum or not. General Theology has the most arguments. So I do not think this is a good reason to be against a subforum.

Have you actually taken a gander at the amount of sabbath threads that have been created just in the last 6 months?
It is no wonder a member started a non-sabbath thread earlier on the GT board. There is just as much arguement as there is discussion on GT IMHO.

Here's my non-Sabbath, non-SDA thread

That's true, we argue because we are not allowing ourselves to be lead by the Spirit at that time. Discussion is one thing argument is another. Paul said if we live in the Spirit let us walk in the Spirit. It's a decision we must make i think. Im not judging im referring to my personal experience, i have been known to argue a lot.

Having said that it takes 2 to tango. We should walk in love with each other.

I feel like "No, it bothers me" should have been an option, as there are plenty of other forum ideas which have never gotten any attention from staff which I would hope would be implemented before something like this, especially considering the ridiculous number of subforums already present, many of which are never used. The poll is oddly slanted towards those who regard the proposal positively to neutrally.

Why not create another poll thread with your choices in it
