Hello trumpeter2.

If the ordinances are included in the ten commandments, then the entire law is still valid.

You can't say that witchcraft is a sin unless witchcraft is listed in the law.

Sin is lawlessness.

Unless the ordinances are valid law, then witchcraft can't be a sin, can't be lawlessness.
1: You shall have no other gods before Me.
This covers witchcraft

Hello Dig4truth.

Reading the posts when I noticed this.

Israel agreed to obey the words of that covenant (commandments), Israel was legally bound by this verbal agreement. I am not of Israel or Egypt, nor have I agreed to obey the words of that covenant.

If you read Romans or Ephesians you might reconsider if you are a part of Israel or not. But I am quite sure what your response will be so I won't waste my breath.

If you read Romans or Ephesians you might reconsider if you are a part of Israel or not. But I am quite sure what your response will be so I won't waste my breath.
Hello Dig4truth.

If it states in Romans or Ephesians that I am a citizen of the nation of Israel, then I would be very surprised.

A common mistake made by many legalists, that Christians become citizens of Israel.

Ephesians 2
12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

If you read the verses carefully it does not say brought into, it actually says 'brought near'. Big difference between being brought near to a nation and citizenship of that nation.

Romans 11
17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree.

This verse states that the wild olive branch is grafted into the root, it does not say that the wild olive branch is transformed into a cultivated olive branch. The wild branch is grafted in among the other branches, not grafted onto one of the branches.

That's what I figured. You believe that God has two chosen people groups?

Hello Dig4truth.

Firstly, we have those under the law, the nation of Israel.

Secondly we also have the uncircumcised, those not under the law, the Gentiles.

Then we have those that believe in Jesus, people chosen from the two groups above, a third group.

Three groups all up, but only one in the end is the chosen group.

I bet you only have one group.

I did, my sister is a witch, they worship other gods.
Hello Trumpeter2.

That is not true, to not take God's name (YHWH) in vain, has nothing to do with witchcraft.

Reading tarot cards for example, which I have done by the way, is a form of sorcery, but this has nothing to do with the God of Israel.

What a clairvoyant practices is not about misusing the name of the God of Israel.

An atheist can be a sorcerer or a witch.

I said nothing about the 3rd commandment, I quoted the first commandment.

I hear what you are saying but there is an important distinction that should be pointed out.

Those from Israel who believe in Yeshua remain Israel (grafted back into their olive tree) and those who do not are cut off.

Those who believe in Yeshua from the nations are grafted into Israel's olive tree and those who do not remain foriegners and strangers both to the Covenants of promise and to the commonwealth of Israel.

So the bottom line is that there is only one chosen people of God and it is believing Israel and those who are grafted in from the nations.

I do not believe that it is a third group that people form from both Israel and the nations. To believe that would imply that Israel was rejected and that Yeshua's plan to come for the lost sheep of Israel failed.

I hope that helps you understand my understanding of the matter.

Never say never!
The only thing you're done with you long post is attempt to discredit any version of Scripture. That is really an attack on and attempt to destroy Christianity. All your examples are of NT writings. We have enough to establish the truth. You support none of your variants with any discussion or support.

Ephesians 2 also says fellow citizens with the saints. It doesn't say citizens of Israel. The Scripture reveals Jews in general as anything but saints.

You must believe there's no new covenant and what we call the new covenant is really at best a renewed covenant and or the NT is a fraud. There are many problems with that. The chief one being there's no such thing as redemption.

It's the Root (Jesus) all Christians are graft into. Christians aren't graft into Israel. Either way the law covenant issued at Sinai doesn't apply. The Christian has an unprecedented covenant.
