So your sister is involved in associated things. Witchcraft isn't worship.
You are correct Wicca/Witchcraft is a religion.
This is who they worship (taken from a Wiccan site):
Q. Who do Witches Worship?

A. There is a single power defined as the One or All, which is composed of everything it has ever created. This supreme energy force does not rule over the Universe, it IS the Universe. Since most find it difficult to talk to or call upon a faceless mass of Divine energy, this supreme power is personified into male and female aspects as the Goddess and God. This simply makes the concept easier for the human mind to comprehend and relate to. Some take this concept a step further and use actual names, like Astarte, Isis, Odin, Pan, Dianna, Cernunnos, etc., when invoking the Goddess and God. In the end, it is a personal preference and what a Witch uses depends on what "feels" right for them individually.

List of major textual variants in the New Testament

Are you EVEN serious???
An unsourced bash of New Covenant Scripture? Seriously?

Scripture is NEVER wrong. It is those who are read it an wrongly interpret it who are at fault.
Scripture is G-D'S WORD. HE is NEVER wrong. Never. It is those who are read it an wrongly interpret it who are at fault.

Again, this area is for Christians - those who believe Yeshua is G-d. Since this does not describe you, by your own words, this area is not a place for you to post. Please check with the Mods.

It's the Root (Jesus) all Christians are graft into. Christians aren't graft into Israel. Either way the law covenant issued at Sinai doesn't apply. The Christian has an unprecedented covenant.

EXACTLY CORRECT and another thing that some people get wrong when elevating the Old Covenant Law over Yeshua's New Covenant. Gentiles are NOT Israel. If they are born again, they are grafted into the HOLY ROOT, Yeshua, alongside believing Israel, the natural branches. Source text: Romans 11.

Hello Dig4truth.

If it states in Romans or Ephesians that I am a citizen of the nation of Israel, then I would be very surprised.

A common mistake made by many legalists, that Christians become citizens of Israel.

Ephesians 2
12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

If you read the verses carefully it does not say brought into, it actually says 'brought near'. Big difference between being brought near to a nation and citizenship of that nation.

Romans 11
17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree.

This verse states that the wild olive branch is grafted into the root, it does not say that the wild olive branch is transformed into a cultivated olive branch. The wild branch is grafted in among the other branches, not grafted onto one of the branches.

In any case, the point being that it is one flock, one people. Since we know that Israel has not been rejected they are still the chosen people of God. Are you a part of His people? He does not have two "chosen" groups.

The root supplies the tree but grafting is not into the root but the among the branches. It is described as "Israel's olive tree".

The text speaks of branches being broken off and grafted in. This is not done into the root of any plant or tree.

Otherwise it would be like saying, "I'm a believer but I'm not a part of the people of God".

It's rather simple.

Did God choose Israel over all of the nations on earth?

Deut 7:6 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Has God rejected His people?

Rom 11:1 I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

Since Israel is God's chosen people and they have not been rejected then they remain His chosen people.

Having said that, it is the people of Israel that has faith in the Messiah that are counted as sons (and daughters) this includes those from among the nations that have faith as well, but it does not change who God's chosen people are. It only allows some from the nations to join (be grafted) into them and thus become one flock.

Otherwise, if it is an entirely new group then Israel would indeed have been rejected. I hope no one believes in replacement theology here.

Hello Dig4truth.

The nation of Israel vanished two thousand years ago.

The Jews are not the chosen people anymore, they were grafted out.

There were three groups mentioned in the scripture, Jews, Gentiles, Christians.
Three distinct groups, if you disagree with this you are in error.

Are you saying that there was not a defined race of people called the Jews?

Are you saying that Gentiles meant everyone who was not a Jew?

Are you claiming that God did not create a new man out of the Jew and Gentile?

Hello Dig4truth.

Paul wrote that quotation from Romans just before the nation of Israel, was well and truly grafted out. You need to look at history and realize that the house of Israel was left desolate.

This is not replacement theology, this is what Jesus said would happen. Israel was not grafted out until AD 70. If you deny this, then your not understanding what Jesus said.

Hello Dig4truth.

You need to look at pictures of olive trees, spend some time on it. The branches are separated from one another and wind down into the root. That is why the olive tree is such a good tree to pick for the analogy.

Ephesians 2 also says fellow citizens with the saints. It doesn't say citizens of Israel. The Scripture reveals Jews in general as anything but saints.

How sad you feel that way. The Father sent His Son to die for these less than saintly people. Have you not read how the Father's heart breaks for His people, His wife?

And by the way, if a person is a citizen of Israel and you are a fellow citizen then what nation do you think you would be a member of?

Hosea 2:14-20
14 “Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Bring her into the wilderness
And speak kindly to her.
15 “Then I will give her her vineyards from there,
And the valley of Achor as a door of hope.
And she will sing there as in the days of her youth,
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.
16 “It will come about in that day,” declares the Lord,
“That you will call Me Ishi (my husband)
And will no longer call Me Baali. (my master)
17 “For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth,
So that they will be mentioned by their names no more.
18 “In that day I will also make a covenant for them
With the beasts of the field,
The birds of the sky
And the creeping things of the ground.
And I will abolish the bow, the sword and war from the land,
And will make them lie down in safety.
19 “I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice,
In lovingkindness and in compassion,
20 And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness.
Then you will know the Lord.

What a beautiful love story!

You must believe there's no new covenant and what we call the new covenant is really at best a renewed covenant and or the NT is a fraud. There are many problems with that. The chief one being there's no such thing as redemption.

Really, I only listed two verses, could you not address them instead?

One of the verses I listed was from the NT.

Can you not just discuss Scripture?

Hi Klutedavid,

Thank you for your input; but you've presented a false dichotomy.

I can readily come up with two more options, "both," or "neither."

With discernment, I would use both, and as many other documents available to me, in my search for truth.

Ok, so there's one replacement theology person here. Any more?

I hear what you are saying but there is an important distinction that should be pointed out.

Those from Israel who believe in Yeshua remain Israel (grafted back into their olive tree) and those who do not are cut off.

Those who believe in Yeshua from the nations are grafted into Israel's olive tree and those who do not remain foriegners and strangers both to the Covenants of promise and to the commonwealth of Israel.

So the bottom line is that there is only one chosen people of God and it is believing Israel and those who are grafted in from the nations.

I do not believe that it is a third group that people form from both Israel and the nations. To believe that would imply that Israel was rejected and that Yeshua's plan to come for the lost sheep of Israel failed.

I hope that helps you understand my understanding of the matter.
Understand, yes. Accepted as truth, no because we can read and also understand English our native language.

You are correct Wicca/Witchcraft is a religion.
Wicca yes, witchcraft no. I found this statement on a site talking about this: Wicca is a recognized religion, while Witchcraft itself is not considered a religion.

A person may be involved in both or either.

In any case, the point being that it is one flock, one people. Since we know that Israel has not been rejected they are still the chosen people of God. Are you a part of His people? He does not have two "chosen" groups.
We aren't arguing about who Israel is or their part in the plan of salvation. Your insistence that one flock is Israel is a misreading of the Scripture. The "one fold" isn't the "this fold" found in John 10.

You're trying to convince people who understand grafting. We understand your need to make Christian Israel. It's so you can draw others into bondage and away from Jesus.
