Actually if you go back to Post #8 and reread the quote you'll find that Adams doesn't mention God. The quote is a parody on the argument known as Fine Tuning.

It sounds to me like his comment is saying we are fashioned by Mother Nature.

In other words, acclimated by ... (not "to", but "by") ... the environment.

This isn't the way it happened.

I don't see how any Christian could even entertain the idea of the big bang of evolution, as these are Antichrist ideas.
You aren't required to see it. All you are required to do is be civil about it. I hope the task is not too much for you.
Jesus was a big believer in the Bible, since the Bible is all about Him from cover to cover. Jesus believed in 6 literal days of creation as He is the One who personally created every single atom in the universe.
Yes, we are well acquainted with your interpretation of the Christian faith. You are welcome to it.

Actually, it isn't. No more than the affairs of men. We just don't notice the turmoil.

Isn't it weird that this turmoil of nature somehow resulted in this beautiful thing called earth where there are things called humans, and these humans immerse themselves in deep thoughts and discussions about the nature of their existence. Human beings that are obsessed with morality, and ethics, and justice, and judgment.

These are just the most basic observations of our reality and yet they are things we keep having to assure ourselves are just illusions.

Earth and humanity are just gigantic cosmic illusions of meaning, things that only *seem* special, preferential, purposeful... but really are just as meaningless as a clump of gas on the other side of the universe.

This is the "scientific" wisdom of our age, and it is self-evidently wrong. God gave us the reason to perceive and understand that we are special. That we stand both as part of and yet profoundly distinct from the rest of the natural world. It is clear and obvious. So obvious that the only way to escape such truth is to willingly blindfold ourselves with a philosophy that only recognizes naturalistic origins of things.... Then we pretend we're just following data, when in truth we are fleeing from what we already know.

The evidence is literally right under our noses.

Human beings are made in God's image, and we are using naturalistic philosophy in order to feign ignorance of our Creator.

Indeed.

Jesus is a creationist ... and we should be too.

We can't mix secular science and Christianity, they are mutually exclusive.

No, many of us are not. That's just a malicious falsehood you like to spread around about Christians who don't agree with you about the Bible.

Science is silent on the subject of meaning behind things. The purpose of science is simply as a tool and body of knowledge for understanding our natural reality. If people want to ascribe underlying meaning to things, that's outside of the scope of science.

Creationists (like you) would argue that the Universe was created for us - that we are somehow special.

In reality we are simply one of many consequences arising from a set of initial conditions. We are no more special than cauliflowers or earwax.

According to evolution, the universe was heading for "heat death" (thermal equilibrium) when mankind came on the scene.

Mankind stepped into an environment of death, dying, and decay everywhere.

Bones all over the place.

The Bible says otherwise.

In other words, science doesn't exist. It just simply observes water on a stove and records that it boiled at 100 degrees Celsius. Bravo for science

Huh?

Your posts are progressively making less sense.

Then why does It say the law was made for man, and not man for the law?

Believe me, there's coming a time when these laws (gravity, thermodynamics, etc. will take a hike).

Just another FYI, telling other Christians they aren't Christians is also against the forum rules.

(I also find it odd that creationists immediately assume that "non-literal Bible" = "God is a liar". It's like the idea of metaphors, allegories, etc, go completely over your heads.)
No, you're saying he's not a Christian. There's nothing wrong with having the wrong view, we all have to learn the truth at some stage, so the sooner the better.
