The Order of Creation...

Why is nature in such pristine order? Why does it have such enduring structure?

To think nature could have unfolded in an infinity of ways, and it manifests in such a way to house and nourish creatures like humans, so that humans are able to flourish and reflect on their place in the creation with stories and symbolism.

Out of all of nature's possible motions and manifestations, it winds up producing the earth carrying humans obsessed with the immaterial realm of philosophy, justice, law, etc... Really? You think that just happened? To know we are humans reflecting on order and truth and origins... on this special life-giving planet. Can you not see the truth staring you right in the face?

Human Beings...

To think there are beings on this earth who reflect on their origins, who obsess over philosophy and cosmology and metaphysics of the universe... Human that are obsessed with morality and ethics, surrounding themselves in narratives of good versus evil, and the application of something called Justice. Humans who collectively, both ancient and modern, claim knowledge of a divine supernatural Creator.

Just for these reasons alone, Humans are so self-evidently set apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. We are something else entirely different than the animals which we study. And yet, through a naturalistic lens, we can't be. Humanity and all its attributes can only be the result of material processes, like everything else. Instead of seeing the evidence of how special humans are... we cover our eyes and tell ourselves it's an illusion.

Of course, evolutionists will insist that whatever appears special was really just spit out of a primordial sea of purposeless matter and energy over billions of years like everything else. This is their creation story and so humans had to come from the same material fount that all other objects originated from. They will invoke such philosophical doozies as the Anthropic principle in order to keep this story alive...

This is what is called living in darkness. When you ignore the reality right under your nose, and instead conform it into a philosophy that says what seems apparent, is only an illusion of matter and energy over time.

Evolutionists believe swirling clouds of stardust were eventually organized into these walking and talking illusions of supreme purpose and meaning called humans. This is the darkness that results when we want to suppress the truth. This is the absurd trainwreck in our reasoning that takes place when we make war against God. We construct these metaphysical fables when we want to pretend God doesn't exist, and wish to teach others that God doesn't exist.

The darkness in our reasoning happens when we ignore basic aspects of reality that are staring us in the face. And so the evolutionists have to keep telling themselves that all the evident appearances of special preference, special attributes, are nothing but illusions upon illusions produced by their mystical fount of nature over billions of years.

The naturalistic worldview is so obviously wrong, and yet the world clings to it, because we love our darkness. We have freedom in our darkness. What wouldn't we tell ourselves in order to justify the pursuit of our lusts and desires?

Naturalism is the perfect philosophy for rationalizing away what is self-evident and obvious. It is the perfect ideology for living in darkness.

The idea of purpose, of intention in the Creation, brings with it an inherent knowledge of a supreme Authority. We hate that idea. So we reach for any contrived philosophical absurdity as a buffer to block out the light of the truth. As you read this, you're probably doing it right now... rationalizing.... rationalizing... the earth and humans only seem special, but it must all be an illusion... there is nothing special, nature has no preferences... don't try and trick me by suggesting otherwise.... *chanting* "Science.... Science.... Science...."

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. - Romans 1:20

Henry Morris, the founder of modern creationism, made the point very clearly and succinctly: "The purpose of the theory of evolution is to deny the existence of God." Of course that is a lie, and I think you know that it is a lie which is why you have to bury it in word salad.

Once again the OP is conflating acceptance of science with atheism and completely ignoring the vast number of theists that accept scientific explanations.

Why do you keep doing this OP? Why do always resort to strawman to make your point?

Who are you really trying to convince here? Us? Or just yourself?

Makes me wonder why creationists are so quick to violate the 9th Commandment. Maybe God's word doesn't mean as much to them as they claim it does.

Who is really living in darkness, I wonder?

Actually, it isn't. No more than the affairs of men. We just don't notice the turmoil.

“This is rather as if you imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, 'This is an interesting world I find myself in — an interesting hole I find myself in — fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!' This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, frantically hanging on to the notion that everything's going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise. I think this may be something we need to be on the watch out for.”

― Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt

Kind of ironic, given that creationism is based on ignorance.
Creationism is based on proven fact, evolution is a false religion based on ignorance. Evolutionists push the lie that everything came from nothing, and nothing is dumber than that idea.

No, creationism seems to be about pushing the lie that unless you agree with them about the Bible you must be an atheist.

Creationism is based on proven fact, evolution is a false religion based on ignorance.

FYI, but calling evolution a religion is against forum rules.

And this is demonstrably backwards.

There are various studies and polling that demonstrate that those who accept creationism:
  • have less understanding of evolution;
  • less understanding of science; and,
  • lower levels of educational attainment.
Lack of understanding of the science of evolution and lower educational attainment are predictors of creationist beliefs.

In addition, almost no creationists I've encountered can demonstrate an understanding the science they argue against. They actively resist learning about it and seem outright fearful to learn about the science they oppose.

Just the fact you call evolution a "religion" is proof positive you don't know what the science of evolution involves.

What is wrong with material processes? Is God not involved in them? Of course, material processes are only the observable surface of our reality. We are still only beginning to discover the deeper processes. I think it is pretty exciting. But science and religion do not have to be in contradiction. They use different language and paradigms to talk about reality.

Douglas Adams needs to wake up and realize we're made in the image and likeness of God, and stop fishing for doubt.

Kind of coincidental, isn't it, that that puddle conformed us to God's likeness and image?

Christian pastors always refer to atheism as a false religion, and I agree with them 100%.
You must have faith in Atheism to be an Atheist, and religion is 100% about faith. You put your faith in a theory which claims that everything came from nothing, so you put your faith in nothing and we put our faith in the One who owns you and every single speck of dust in the universe.
