reflected light would not do this evenly

Why on earth not? I am unable to understand why you think this is a valid statement.

Bits that stick up get more light. It doesn’t matter what shape they have.

Another factor in to this false idea of a moon reflecting the suns light, as the moon light source. Is that these so called reflected light areas, simply do not change over a period of time. I photographed the area on the moon (below photo) and photographed this area again and then again after several hours and no change in the light area.

What you are seeing are the photons that hit your eyes, it doesn't matter where the rest of it goes.
Yep... that's how we see. And, we have this ability to see "photons" of varying intensity... Which is not apparent when looking at the full moon.

Scripture is clear consistent as to the moon being its own source of light:

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; (Gen 1:14)

God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
(Gen 1:16)

So why is it dark during the eclipse?

I will add that the light the moon produces is in constant motion. That is it is moving from one phase to another.

The shadows can be seen to have moved on my last post #403 just a little but the light being emitted on the m shaped light area has not changed and it will not until that area begins to lessen its light production. Then it will look like the area that is to the left, the circular area that was lit brightly but now on the second photo has lessened its light out put.

So the moon has dimmer mode now gees

So why is it dark during the eclipse?
Why can the lunar eclipse take place when the sun is risen? If the shadow of the earth passes over the moon, how can this happen when the sun is fully risen?

Why is the shadow of the moon, on the earth, during a solar eclipse, smaller than the moon.

In all cases, the shadow of an object is larger than the object. Yet the moons shadow is very small.

What it boils down to is people can not distinguish between reflected light and emitted light. Men of science know this and can use this to their advantage in their deception.

Thanks, that's the distinction I was groping for.

The devil exploits the optical illusions, another example is depth perspective and the horizon, it's the vanishing point but he persuades the world it's where the earth curves away.

The verses below are dealing with the second coming of The Messiah, so yes the sun will not given its light but also the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from heaven and from Revelation we know they fall from heaven to earth.

The verses are not saying the moon will not give its light because the sun is not giving its light. The verses are saying when the Messiah returns it will be total darkness. No light will be permitted to compete with the light of The Messiah, i am sure there will be total darkness upon the earth also.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
