Try going into the Lutheran forum here and telling the Lutherans they're Protestant. You'll get lambasted.

We have always considered ourselves "Evangelical Catholic". It's true that with 19th century pietism some Protestantism seeped into the Lutheran church, but we're working on rooting that out.

Only bishops have staffs. Priests do not.

But they do have a hat. Usually a beard as well.
