If it was good enough for the King James writers to put those names there, it's good enough for me.
Can I interest you in the Sydney Harbour Bridge........?

How likely is it that all 11 people would have had the same "personality disorder" and believe the exact same lie enough to die for it? Can you give an example in history where this happened before?
This is not about the 2/3 of other people. I dont know why you keep bringing it up. The mass suicide in Jonestown was a result of brainwashing and manipulation in order to make his followers believe out of faith that Jim Jones was true. The apostles did not believe in the resurrection out of faith! They believed because they claimed to have witnessed the resurection! No faith or brainwashing required!
You are still, missing the point. People die for, religious belief because they believe it's true.
They don't die because they believe it's false.
The apostles, who witnessed Jesus death
and ressurection
died because they knew it was truth and not a lie.
I,am not talking about everyone who dies for a belief. Muslim terrorists die for their belief and kill, for it to. That doesn't make their belief true anymore than those who, believed in Him Jones.
I am talking about people dying for a hoax that they willingly participated in. The apostles preached the death and ressurrection as truth. It was with true or a hoax. They would not die willingly for a hoax.
And yet what the gospels say about Jesus are reaffirmed by the apostles. Not one thing taught by the apostles counters any thing contained in the gospels.
.
You've been falling for the ungodly scholars again haven't you?
You know the ones who are trying really hard to disprove Gods word.
As you point out it's an estimate. But even that means nothing. It doesn't at mean John didn't or couldn't have written the gospel. Earliest historians affirmed the belief that the disciple wrote it. And since he was an eye witness it remains reliable and affirms the other gospels along with the other writings by the apostles. Many of the modern scholars have an obvious agenda to discredit the bible. And because of your refusal to believe in Jesus you happily buy what they are selling.
That is grad school material trying to figure that out. They also have a software program for the computer that they are able to use.
They have worked on that for years, generation after generation. And what did the grad school students determine?

They pretty much come to the same conclusion as what they find using the computer software.

There are revisionists that belong to a false, harlot, apostate church. We are told to let the tares grow with the wheat and then the angels will sort them out at the end of the era. Least the wheat be uprooted with the tares. You do realise that the vast majority of scholars are your fellow Christians?
Just what are you high on?Most of us hold a higher standard.
Consider the fact that the Bible is comprised of 66 Books written over a period of about 1,500 years by over 40 authors from all walks of life, with different kinds of personalities, and in all sorts of situations. The Bible was written in three languages on three continents, and covers hundreds of controversial subjects. Yet, the Bible fits together into one cohesive story with an appropriate beginning, a logical ending, a central character, and a consistent theme.Everyone was keeping to the script? How surprising........

Moses is a part of the equation. He stood on the shoulders of giants also. Abraham had a covenant with God. Adam had a covenant with God but he did not keep his part of the covenant and he was thrown out of Eden.Interestingly enough, the conclusion isn't "Moses."
Thus an avatar of a mouse that is smoking a cigarette? Most of us hold a higher standard.
