So when someone called Jesus the "lamb of God", Jesus was a baby sheep at that time? Or the guy was lying?

Is that the way the Bible writers used language, like a weather report?

One major point missed here is that the Bible was written over time by different authors.
This does not mean they were not inspired by God.

Some were Prophet's, who composed by revelation from God for a message.
Some were kings ,preaching about their experiences
Some were poets who prophesied.
Some were biographies with the author providing the narrative.

And many more circumstances time constraints will not allow me to list.
The Bible transcends time in that the teaching is relative today yesterday and tomorrow.

If the Bible was forged or a book of fables ,I doubt it would be the most sold book of all time and the most referenced.
The Bible is Holy ,inspired by God and is God.
You do not read the Bible the Bible reads you.
The Bible is the living Word of God.

I would encourage those who doubt ,take time to read it cover to cover, with a open mind and heart.

Besides which, I said gospels, not Bible. Just as a matter of interest, how do you manage to classify poems, or proverbs, or letters, or prophecies as narrative?

1.) Whatever else the Bible is, it is a book, and books are inanimate objects. God is not an inanimate object.
2.) Inanimate objects do not take part in any activities, except as a tool for use by animate beings. They certainly do not read in any sense of the word, literally or metaphorically.

If it is a book or inanimate object or tool ,then how can you qualify the whatever else?

The level of literacy in America must be truly appalling. They can manage to read the actual words, but the level of comprehension seems to be zilch. That is what unregulated home schooling does for you.
