Many no doubt did. That's what I'm saying brother, why did they not flee on the first approach if that is what they though it was?

I never said it was seven years. Could be longer could be shorter, I still have to look into how long exactly I'm still going through seventh day Adventist, Davidian, and Pastor Marks studies to see how long it is. What I can say though is that it doesn't start until Jerusalem is taken, everything that happens before it is just the beginning of sorrows not the tribulation. You would have to prove otherwise. You haven't any scripture supporting a future 7 year tribulation. Without it, you haven't anything to base your faith on.
Regardless, it is past and it was meant for the Jews under God's judgment.I never said it was seven years. You can say whatever you want to brother but that doesn't make it true. As I said discussing it with each other will not bring forth any fruit. So unless we can discuss something else with actual scripture then there is nothing for us to discuss. Wisdom of words, doctrines of men, and lip service do not produce Godliness.Regardless, it is past and it was meant for the Jews under God's judgment.
Jesus spoke to those present saying "when you see". He did not say "When they see". What's so hard about that? You can say whatever you want to brother but that doesn't make it true. As I said brother there is no profit to come from this discussion, you have asked this question already and I have given you an answer. Just read through what I have already said. If you want to discuss something else using only scripture and show me verse by verse, from the list I keep responding to you with, how each of them are only symbolic that would be fine. Until that's done I don't see reason to continue speaking about prophecy with you.Jesus spoke to those present saying "when you see". He did not say "When they see". What's so hard about that?
You are barking up the wrong tree unless you consider Jesus' audience when he spoke about the abomination of desolation. It already happened in a very huge way.As I said brother there is no profit to come from this discussion, you have asked this question already and I have given you an answer. God bless and guide you brother.
Alright brother, if that is all you would like to discuss then I see no reason to continue speaking about prophecy with you.You are barking up the wrong tree unless you consider Jesus' audience when he spoke about the abomination of desolation. It already happened in a very huge way.
Take Jesus at his word and you'll revamp your thinking.Alright brother, if that is all you would like to discuss then I see no reason to continue speaking about prophecy with you.
May God guide you to the truth and light of his word.
I always do brother.Take Jesus at his word and you'll revamp your thinking.
If Jesus says "when you" and you make it say "when they", how is this true?I always do brother.
Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I don't make it say anything brother, when he says it is not for the Jews whose hearts are hardened but for the the Christians to understand I take him at his word. You said it was a persecution of Jews, but he said what he spoke of was for the Christians, you say it is the great tribulation now. But Christ said we are only in the beginning of sorrows. It seems you make him say whatever you like brother. So again I see no reason to continue speaking with you. I love you brother but I will not reply again and be joined in vain disputation with you.If Jesus says "when you" and you make it say "when they", how is this true?
Christ is our lamb of sacrifice(John 1:29), all forms of Old testament sacrifice are done away with. Each of us is now a living sacrifice(Romans 12:1) offering up spiritual offerings(1 peter 2:5), the blood of Goats and lambs does nothing for us anymore(Hebrews 10:4-10).
So initial response is the temple is said to be in heaven and if it comes down to the valley(i do not know) it will not be for blood sacrifice so the purpose it would serve in the valley I do not know.
Ok if I may, can we start with your first scriptural reference:No I do not believe anything contained in the study has been fulfilled yet
I don't believe it could be for several reasonsOk if I may, can we start with your first scriptural reference:
Zechariah 14 1-2
Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken.
Could it be possible that Zechariah could be prophesying about the Maccabean Wars of the second century A.D? If not, why not?
I don't believe it could be for several reasons
1. It starts off by saying the day of the Lord is coming indicating this is not something long before the Lord's day but something soon before it. verse 1
2. All nations will be gathered against it, not a single nation or two nations but all nations will be gathered against it. verse 2
3. When the city is taken only a residue will be spared death or captivity and children will be dashed to pieces. verse 2 pair with Isaiah 13:16
3. It is not the Lord's people who will do the fighting in that day but the Lord who will come and drive them out. Verse three Pair with Ezekiel 11:23 which says he comes out from the midst of them in the city.
4. These are driven out not by war but by the parting of the Mountain when Christ stands on it. verse 4 pair with Ezekiel 11:23
5. That after these people are driven out a great plague will come upon them. Verse 12
6. After all these things those that are left of the nations that took Jerusalem will come to the Lord's mountain to worship the Lord. Verse 16
7. Plague and drought will come upon all nations that come not up to praise the Lord in that day. verse 18-19
These things in my belief show that this is a future event that will come to pass and not a past event, since all these things have yet to happen as Zechariah foretold.
Yes it would sister, if the mountain didn't part to drive out the nations that took Jerusalem then I don't see it agreeing with the account given in Zech 14. Since that is the main undeniable indicator of the event taking place.Would your reason be the same if I said 70Ad?
Hi I have cut and pasted the whole of the day of vengeance portion of Isaiah 61 and contend that this is still future and if you look at the address it is to those in Zion and speaks of rebuilding of Zion and them being planted and established and they are even contrasted with the Gentiles. This matches up with this day being the 2nd coming and the LORD seen coming withe his saints in Zech 14 saving them when they have been overrun. The destruction in 70ad was certainly a judgment against Israel. It was not the day of vengeance. The days of vengeance was fulfilled upon 1st century Jerusalem, it's Temple/Sanctuary and the murderous corrupt priesthood.
