By the way, what is the under law?
That's right.
And once you have Grace, Christ has empowered you and given you the strength to no longer sin.
Don't forget Peter's words about how people wrest Paul's writings to their own destruction, and turn to a "lawless" life as a result.
Some things Paul writes are "hard to be understood...."
one more time....HARD....to be understood.
You want to twist his gospel into a lawless gospel, and that's exactly what Peter said people were guilty of doing.
Take it or leave it!
No, he's not, you just haven't yet realized that a Christian who is not under the law is not lawless.
Believe Jesus is the Son of God... JESUS overcame the world!!!While I technically agree with this statement, I disagree with his interpretation of it. "Under the law" does not mean "not keep the law". Under the law means "guilty of violating it". The law only demands perfect obedience. Those who are under Grace were ones who once violated the law, but repented (turned away from sin--transgression of the law). Now, by Grace through Faith, they are able to obey it, not of themselves, but in Christ. It is Christ in them that is able to do it. You can do nothing of yourself. You are helpless. Our works are like filthy rags, but once we are IN Christ, Christ works in us and strengthens us and gives us the power and victory to "overcome". They are not "our" works, they are Christ works working THROUGH us.
Overcoming sin is the main characteristic of God's end-time church according to Revelation 2 and 3. It mentions the word "overcome" or "overcometh" numerous times. "To him that overcometh....will I grant". Etc. etc. Only those who overcome can inherent the kingdom of heaven.
I just wish you guys would see this truth!!
Where is someone in here who will stand up and say "I SEE IT!" And follow through? And say "I agree, we're in this together! Let's work on our defects of character together, and overcome sin--let's help one another!"
WHERE???
Commandment breakers and those who try to attain the law of righteousness by works (of themselves) = Under the Law
Commandment keepers who attain the law of righteousness by Grace through faith alone (in Christ) = Under Grace
So would that be talking about Believing Christians and Jews? That's right.

Yet we are not sinless... God HAS to discipline His children... I agree that Jesus works in us... which is all the more reason to preach the gospel as God commanded us... the law cannot save... the gospel does save... if we really believe that Jesus works in believers we will preach the gospel of grace... not the law... so others can have His amazing grace. Our works are like filthy rags, but once we are IN Christ, Christ works in us and strengthens us and gives us the power and victory to "overcome". They are not "our" works, they are Christ works working THROUGH us.
Believe Jesus is the Son of GodAbiding in God overcomes the wrold.![]()
No one overcomes the world by keeping the law... no one except Jesus has kept the law... we overcome the world by believing and receiving the righteousness of CHRIST...
Believe Jesus is the Son of God
1 John 5:5
Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
God is Love...
Abiding in God is abiding in Love. Love is Gods law that fulfills all of Gods commandments.
Abiding in God is to abide in Gods law, love.
Jesus is the Son of God and the Son abides in the Father.
All that the Son speaketh, is from The Father and The Father is all goodness.
We are all abiding in God, through Christ.
Stealing isn't ever justified, so Gods law remains inside of His believers and endures through a fallen world.
God bless.
We are in the world, but not of the worldBelieve Jesus is the Son of God

Exactly... the verses you have brought out here, clearly point out that part of the believing is in the redemption process that He out lines that is how sin is dealt with, and if you are not part of the process of being redeemed you wil be dying in your sins.We are in the world, but not of the world
NKJV) John 8:23 And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I am from above.
You are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 I said then to ye, 'that ye shall be dying in the sins of ye,' for if-ever no ye should be believing that I am, ye shall be dying in the sins of ye.'

God is Love...
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4: 10-11
My command is this:
Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15: 12
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers,
love one another deeply, from the heart. 1 Peter 1:22
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.1 Peter 4:8
It (Love) is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.1 Corinthians 13: 5
Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
And this ismy prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, Philippians 1:9
