There's just so much, the due process clause and equal protection clause have been violated,
Trump has received all of the standard due process in this case. The same law has been applied to many in NY state for the same crimes (falsifying business records, doing so in furtherance of another crime).
so has the 5th,
The fifth is the right to not testify against oneself. As the old saying goes "you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say CAN and WILL be used against you in court of law." That Trump says incriminating things in public is his problem, not a 5th amendment violation.
The jury was legally constituted in the jurisdiction where the charged crime took place (NY County in NY State). If you don't want to face a Manhattan jury, don't commit crimes in Manhattan.
No penalties have been applied in this case. That will not happen until Friday and the judge is indicating that the penalty will be -- nothing. Is that "cruel and unusual" to have no penalty for a convicted felony?
and 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
Trump's disqualification for future office is not triggered by his crimes in this case.

Yeah, too bad voters picked a convicted felon to represent them. Oh well, hope they continue to get all that they voted for.
I’d rather have Trump represent me than Harris, who is very unqualified and the least popular VP ever.

Sure. One last big dose of lawfare, will end lawfare for all time.
Why? It did not work. That should end it
(We ought to try this with “war”!)
Losing a war, makes war for the loser, not work...But death to some just brings sympathetic support for them. dragging it out

I mentioned the convicted part in my post.
Yes - he was convicted of a felony - but that does not make him a felon.

For anyone to be considered a felon in the US they would need to be convicted of a felony AND receive a sentence for it.

It is not either or - but both are needed. You are free to look it up.

Really?
A convicted (but not yet sentenced) person can legally purchase a firearm?
Huh.
This may be why they are pushing to sentence him before his inauguration.

Yet.
That becomes official Jan 10th.
To call him one after being found guilty is a distinction without a difference.
Welcome to lawfare.

The only kind of "correct" here is the technical kind.

It was not "a felony" but actually 34 of them.
Judge Merchan indicated the felonies will stand. The sentencing is just a formality at this point.

No, they aren't.

A person literally needs to be convicted of a felony and sentenced for it in order to be considered a felon in the US.

I don't make the rules.

Weakest and most unfounded such case in the history of our country. This is like pretending the border is safe, secure, and closed.

This was already exhausted in the threads while this trial was going on. I am not going to rehash old issues here in this thread.
No need to. Unless you want people to take your posts seriously, that is.

So he's convicted of a felony, but he's not a convicted felon. Is this really the split hair Trump supporters are trying to sell this time?

...a majority of American voters will be recorded in history as electing a convicted felon.
