Trump did not falsify any records. By the way, Trump doesn't even do his own accounting, he hires professional accountants. At this point we as a nation need to get together and demand Merchan be disbarred.
In order to be considered a felon in the US you need to have been both convicted of a felony and have received a sentence for it.
This was already exhausted in the threads while this trial was going on. I am not going to rehash old issues here in this thread. It will come out in the end when due process is finished.
An accountant marked down legal services to pay a lawyer for the non-disclosure agreement. Hundreds of thousands of well-to-do Democrats have done the same thing. Yet none of them was every charged. Enough people saw it as lawfare and election interference so that Trump won the presidency. Merchan right now is further damaging the Democrats. So is Joe as he tries to sabotage the new administration.
Not 'an accountant'. Trump, Cohen and the Trump CFO hatched this plan to 'pad' the repayment to account for taxes after Cohen paid her off out of the goodness of his heart. This was all hashed out in the trial when Trump was convicted by a jury.
There's just so much, the due process clause and equal protection clause have been violated, so has the 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
The judge and jury had no jurisdiction, and no right to interfere in a federal election. We will see after Merchan and Bragg are disbarred exactly what penalties may be brought. With the new action by Merchan I think he needs to suffer the consequences for interfering in a federal election and in the presidential transition, and I believe jail time is appropriate.

We really need to do something about these arrogant liberal elitists, in this case who not only interfere in a presidential election but interfere in the presidential transition. We can't set a precedent that will allow individuals who think they know what is best for the country to thwart the democratic will of the people of the nation.
Funny, the only people disbarred have been Trump attorneys who tried to interfere with an election. There will be no disbarring of Merchan. The ABA is not the Republican caucus.
Why would the court regard a defendant’s political aspirations if that isn’t an issue before the court?
