I'll put this again for you to see, Jesus never once placed blame on the flesh,
Matthew 5:29-30
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mark 14:38
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
Romans 8:3
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
So, what's the big deal? You seem to want to blame yourself for your sins rather than forgive yourself and others.
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.or said one is deceived if breaking His commandments.
John 8:34 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Ephesians 2:2-4
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:He holds us accountable for our own actions.
Romans 7:11Where does it say anyone was deceived, we should not add to the Bible, its something we are told not to,
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Titus 3:3
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Of course, because God is a trustworthy Master and sin is a lying master.but let God direct our paths and He does through His clear Word.
We need to qualify our terms. The term choice has two meanings ---> choice/option and choice/decision. The mind tends to conflate the two, but we shouldn't do that because only choice/decision is applicable to the will. Its about our choices, because God loves us so much He gave us free will.
The term "will' in scripture alludes to one's desire as to what they "want/desire" to do. The carnal will is in enmity with the spiritual will in mankind so there are TWO opposing wills that we experience in the moral/immoral paradigm.
When we reason or deliberate between pros and cons, we're relying upon and reasoning upon what we believe to be true.
If what we believe to be true is in reality a lie, then that will affect our choice/decision.
So, in the moral/immoral paradigm, the carnal mind reasons differently than the spiritual mind, that is to say the carnal mind reasons upon different pros and con than the spiritual mind.
And it also depends on how one qualifies the adjective "Free". Free from what? With that in mind, when I'm talking about the moral/immoral paradigm, I believe the only truly free will is the will that is free from sin ---> 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. To be clear, I would NOT consider a will/desire that was the product of believing a lie, and which is deceived into serveing sin, a free will.
The will God gave Adam before sin entered in I would say was a free will, not yet corrupted by sin. Subsequently, I don't believe God would give me a will that chooses to sin.
If I'm standing I could have been sitting, Yes life is choice/options which we navigate through with our choice/decisions.Life is all about choices.
My choice is to not judge so as to condemn others, even because I know that when I sinned I had believed something untrue. I know this because I was sorry afterward. If you think you chose to sin because you believed the truth and that you were not decieved, that's your choice. And we will be Judged on those choices. We have to take accountability for our own actions. Sinning is a choice. We can't blame someone else for them, we are all accountable for what we do. 2 Cor 5:10
Here are some commandments:Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Matthew 5
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 6
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 7
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
