I don't think there are Demons---evil, spiritual, beings that produce sins--just fallen, spiritual beings who want their own way.
God created satan as he created all the angels. Satan was one of God's angels. Actually, he was a general in God's army of angels. He was right at the top, but that wasn't good enough for him. He wanted to be the top and that was his downfall.I think demons are allegorical or figures of speech. An epileptic was described as being possessed by a demon. One feverish and shaking from a bout of malaria may have been described as ill by one person or possessed by a demon by another. Disorder, lewdness, murder, lawlessness and chaos were described as works of darkness and attributed to Satan. While goodness, lawfulness, knowledge, healing, charity and productivity were attributed to light and God. I think God created angels, but cannot in my wildest dreams attribute demons to God's creation. These bad things are the result of error, malice, greed and ignorance.
You obviously have not met many Christians.
I don't know how many angels there are but I do know that one-third of them were thrown out of heaven along with their master satan.
This happened because satan wanted to be the top dog and replace God himself. I don't think that for one moment satan stopped wanting to be top dog once he was thrown out so I can only assume that he is still pursuing that agenda.
That means he is not sitting around the campfire toasting marshmallows. He has an army of slaves that he is mustering at every available opportunity to destroy the work of God.
He cannot get at God because Jesus defeated him at Calvary but he can get at his creation...you and me.
The scriptures does not say that we have been set free from sin. It says we have been set free from the power of sin, the author of which is satan as in "sin shall no longer have dominion over you."
Whether it does or not depends on how much you resist satan and all his demons. We are all tempted to sin, but we don't have to. That comes from satan so yes there is a demon or demons in the realm of homosexuality or fornication or murder or stealing or........
There has to be because sin has no power over us unless we succumb to it and the only ones that would want us to succumb are demons.
Because we are all created in God's image it is natural/supernatural for us to want to be like him. That is what sanctification is all about. Being changed daily into his likeness. Along the way, satan and his minions are doing their darndest to queer God's pitch.
He goes about as an angel of light so we have to constantly watch and pray because he could be in the pulpit.
It is so hard that the most Christlike person I have ever met is a Hindu.
Please understand that I'm not challenging your testimony of never having met a true Christian. It's very likely that you truly haven't met one if a Hindu is the most Christ like being that you can cite. I believe you.
I don't want to derail the thread from the main topic but you don't think there is a spiritual world? Or you believe there are angels just not demons? very controversial statement either way.
The only reason we call some angels demons is to designate their position with God.
God created satan as he created all the angels. Satan was one of God's angels. Actually, he was a general in God's army of angels. He was right at the top, but that wasn't good enough for him. He wanted to be the top and that was his downfall.
Whilst God created him, his actions were of his own choosing and now he is suffering the consequences of those actions.
Therefore you are stating that a Hindu has obtained to superior Christlikeness than an individual who has the Holy Spirit dwelling within them?
I didn't read it all, but I glanced at it.

There are slight misunderstandings, such as human beings being temporarily confined by an "earthsuit" (body) ... in truth, God CREATED MANKIND to be body + spirit, and our bodies will be resurrected. Depending on where you go in Theology, this can be anywhere from a minor error to something that leads to even more misunderstanding.
I take greater exception to the idea that the serpent in the Garden of Eden who tempted Eve is just a random, creaturly, animal serpent, who happened to tempt/deceive Eve. That is a much greater error. Will our pet cats and goldfish try to tempt us next? Were they "fallen before the fall?" It creates all kinds of problems.
But yes, demons are spirit beings, created by God, of the class of angels, and demons are fallen through sin and rebellion (which the author also doesn't seem to want to endorse the details of).
It's not so much that what they said was in error, but the thinking that goes with it 99% of the time, so to me it is almost surely implied. How is earthsuit a misunderstanding?
But we are actually beings composed of a body and a spirit. Neither one without the other is fully human. This isn't just a "suit" we wear, it is part of who we are. So much so that God will one day resurrect it, and once again it will be joined with our spirit for all of eternity.
Most of the gay women I know have been molested, some by Christians.I read somewhere there were 177ish sins discussed in the bible. Is it farfetched to assume there is a demon or a legion of demons for every sin trying to get people to commit them? It also seems our minds are able to connect with the spiritual world and hence why we sometimes get thoughts that are against what the bible says we are to think about. What do you guys think?

I've heard most hookers have been molested to.
I'm just saying most things are beyond peoples control, your only born of god through love, not sex.Are you saying that causes legal rights for demons to influence them?
