If you wish to deny God's WORD it is between you and God I do not judge you. It is God's WORD that will be our judge come judgment day *JOHN 12:47-48. To think and teach that God's 10 commandments are abolished would be to deny most of the OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT scriptures and not understand what the OLD AND NEW COVENANTS are.

WHAT DID JESUS AND THE APOSTLES TEACH ABOUT GOD’S LAW
(the scriptures below are no where near exhaustive)

    Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

    1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matthew 5:17-18)
    2. Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
    3. Jesus taught that Love is the fulfilling (doing) of God’s Law (10 commandments Matthew 22:36-40)
    4. If we break God’s Law by following man-made traditions we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
    5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)
    6. Jesus taught if you love God you will keep God’s Law and abide in His Love (John 14:15; 15:10
    7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matthew 5:19)
    8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10)

    Paul affirms the Ten Commandments……

    1. Paul teaches God's people keep the Sabbath Hebrews 4.
    2. Paul tells gentiles that "what matters is KEEPING the Commandments of GOD" 1 Corinthians 7:19
    3. Paul tells gentiles "it is not the HEARERS of the Law that are just before God but the DOERS of the Law will be justified... on the day when according to my GOSPEL God will judge all mankind" Romans 2:13-16
    4. Paul asks that gentiles consider the doctrine of LAW "Do we then make void the LAW of God by our faith? God forbid! In fact we establish the Law of God" Romans 3:31
    5. Paul tells ALL Christians that it is only the lost who will "not subject themselves to the Law of God neither indeed CAN they" Romans 8:6-8
6 Paul reaches all Christians under the NEW Covenant that God's LAW as known in Jeremiah 31:31-33 is "written on the heart and mind" Hebrews 8:10-12
    7. Paul tells all Christians that the OT text is to be used for Doctrine 2 Timothy 3:16
AND He never claims that "if I did not write it -- it is not scripture for us today" -- as one or two have imagined for us.
    8. Paul tells all Christians that the 5th commandment is the "FIRST commandment with a promise" Ephesians 6:1-2 and is binding on all Christians.
    9. God's Law (10 commandments) are holy, just and good (Romans 7:12)
    10. God's Law gives us a knowledge of what sin is (Romans 3:20; 7:7)
    11. The penalty of breaking God's Law without Jesus is death (Rom 6:23)
    12. If we break God's Law we dishonor God (Romans 2:23)
    13. If we sin we are "under the Law" and guilty before God (Romans 3:19)
    14. We are saved by faith but our faith establishes the Law in us (Romans 3:31)
    15. If we are saved by grace we should not break God's Law (Romans 6:1-7)
    16. We should not break God's Law if we are under grace (Romans 6:15)
    17. We are to serve the Law of God through the mind because that is where sin starts (Romans 6:17; 7:25; 8:4; 12:2)
    18. It is God's Law that brings us to Jesus (Galatians 3:24)
    19. God's salvation frees us from sin so we can be obedient to God's Law and live a life of holiness (Romans 6:22)
    20. We will be judged by God's Law and only those that are obedient will be justified because of their faith (Romans 2:4-13)
    21. God's Law can only be obeyed through love and a changed heart which comes by faith in God's Word (Romans 2:21-29; 13:9-10; Hebrews 8:9-10)
    22. If we break God's Law and are in unrepentant sin we will be lost and will received God's judgements (Hebrews 10:26-27)

    John affirms the 10 commandments……

    1. John says it is only by keeping God’s 10 commandments that we know that we know God (1 John 2:3)
    2. If someone says that they know God and do not keep God’s 10 commandments they are lying and not telling the truth (1 John 2:4)
    3. We should purify ourselves as Jesus is pure (1 John 3:3)
    4. Sin is the breaking of God’s 10 commandments (1 John 3:4)
    5. Whoever is abiding in Christ does not commit sin (1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
    6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
    7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
    8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
    9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10
    10. It is the keeping of God’s commandments that is the difference between those that are following God and those that are not following God (1 John 3:10; 1 John 5:3)
    11. It is only by Love through faith that we can keep God’s commandments (1 John 5:3-4)
    12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Rev 14:12; 22:14)

James also affirms the 10 commandments…….

    1. James says God’s Law (10 commandments) are a Royal Law (James 2:8)
    2. If we break one of God’s commandments we a guilty before God as sinners breaking all of God’s Law and gave some examples of breaking God’s Law (James 2:9-11)
    3. James says God’s Law is a law of liberty and freedom (James 2:12)
    4. The 10 commandments (God’s Law) are the standard in the judgment (James 2:12)
    5. If our faith does not have the fruit of obedience to God’s Law it is dead and not true faith (James 2:16-26)

    Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

    1. Sanctification is to obedience to God’s Law (1 Peter 1:2)
    2. We can only be changed from sin to obedience to God’s Law by the power of God and it will be revealed in the last days (1 Peter 1:5)
    3. We should give up our sins to be holy because Jesus is holy (1 Peter 1:13-16)
    4. Jesus is your example who did no sin (1 Peter 2:21-22)
    5. Cease from sin and do not live in the flesh (1 Pet 4:1-3)
    6. Judgement will begin at the house of God and sinners (those breaking God’s 10 commandments) will not be saved.
    7. God has given us his precious promises and as we believe them God will grant us his divine power to live a life of Godliness (obedience to God’s Law; 2 Peter 1:2-4)
    8. The Un-Godly (disobedient to God’s Law) will be like Sodom and Gomorrah (2 Peter 2:6)
    9. If any turn away from God’s Law and are in unrepentant sin breaking any of God’10 commandments they will be lost (2 Peter 2:20-22)
10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Peter 3:5-14)

God’s Law in the NC is written on our hearts it is through love and it is love the fulfils God’s Law in us as we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit and is why Jesus says f you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15; John 15:10). If we knowingly break one of God’s commandments we commit sin (1 John 3:4). This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which Jesus made for us and commands us to keep as a holy day.

If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL then you have no part in the NEW COVENANT. Gentiles are now grafted in *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 11:13-27.

    Hope this helps

Good. Because I did not commit the sin you spoke of. The law of Moses was given to the Jew. I am not a Jew. The law of Moses was not written to me. Now the commandments of Christ were written to me. Bit you and I would disagree on what those are.

Well my friend I will leave that one between you and God. You have to deny a lot of scripture to believe that as shown in post # 1218 linked click me. Please feel free to respond to the post and all the scriptures in it that disagree with you. Simply ignoring the scriptures do not make them dissappear.

What I said was true. What you are presenting is a doctrinal house of cards. You even buried Romans eleven at the bottom now. It was at the top before.

Not really Steve, The scriptures you provided were responded to in detail in post #1207 linked click me showing you had left out context in your interpretation of them. You simply decided to avoid addressing this post and the scriptures in them that disagree with you. This was being dismissive of the post and the scriptures provided in them that disagree with you. Please feel free to address the linked post above if you disagree?

You are playing the child's game of "Button. button, who's got the button?" here. Claiming you are not judging others when you use your posts with scriptures to do your dirty work of judging others. You included a quote from John chapter twelve that says, "... the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day..."

But here you are misusing the word before the last day to judge others. Saying, "God's WORD disagrees with you." When it clearly doesn't.

Not at all Steve, please feel free to respond to the posts and scriptures in them that disagree with you. If you cannot then we should believe God's WORD. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it.

Don't inflate yourself to godlike proportions. You are not posting "God's WORD". Your posts are NOT the standard for truth. Far from it.

For me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him. All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that say they see that do not see. These are they that have once known him or do not know him. There is only life in the living Word. These are his Words and not my own. Freely I give because freely I have received. I must speak in the light and what I hear preach in the housetops. Many will not hear because they do not know Him. He is the Word of God and those that believe him are those that he has chosen. They follow him because they love him and are loved by him. Many are called but few are chosen. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgment day.

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

    1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
    2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
    3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
    4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
    5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
    6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
    7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
    8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cornithians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
    9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelation 1:10)

Godlike..............Does one have to keep the Jewish sabbath in the New Jerusalem?

    John 10:34-36
Jesus answered to them "is not it is having been Written in the Law of ye that I say 'gods/qeoi <2316> ye are'?
If those He said gods, toward whom the Word of the God became and not is able to be broken/annulled the Writing, whom the Father hallows and commissions into the world, ye are saying that 'Thou are blaspheming' that I said 'Son of the God I am
    '" [Psalms 82:6]

    Romans 2:
23 Who in law are boasting through the transgression of the Law, the God thou are dishonoring
24 'For the name of the God because of you, is being blasphemed in the nations' according as it has been written
    .'
    [Psalm 74:10]

    Revelation 16:11
And they blaspheme the God of the heaven out of the miseries of them, and out of the sores of them, and not they reform out of the works of them

    Hebrews 12:22
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

So, where in the Bible is God's 4th Commandment called the "Jewish Sabbath"? Not sure how you believe the scriptures you have provided support anything you are saying in your post. Did you wish you explain yourself any further? It would be easier to read what your posting if you do not post multi-colour.

That's interesting. Nine lies about one of the Ten Commandments. And with bogus "proof-texts" no less. Not that I am surprised. Number three is close. I'll give a half point on that.

    Mark 2:28
So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

What scriptures do you feel are bogus Steve? There are a lot of them that disagree with your teachings. Thanks for providing the scripture from Mark 2:28. Jesus is indeed Lord even of the Sabbath day. It is God's Word not mine. Do you believe it? If Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath day then how can it be abolished?

Once again you put words in my mouth. (false witness)
I didn't say the scriptures were bogus. I said your "proof-texts" were bogus.
But importantly, the points you are trying to make with the "proof-texts" are bogus. Are you not concerned that you are misusing "God's WORD" to make your denominational doctrinal claims? As stated earlier, there is more than one way of looking at these things. (Romans chapter 14) "Accept the one whose faith is weak..." (those who have put themselves under the law)

The point Jesus was making is that man was not made for the Sabbath. But what do you say? Do you not make the Sabbath more important than the man?

And what does it mean to be Lord of something? Does not the Lord have the authority to abolish it? (and he did)

    Mark 2:27-28
Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

That's interesting. When you post, you call it "God's WORD" (that disagrees with me). When I post, you call it teaching. Which you claim, disagrees with "God's WORD" (your posts).

What words did I put in your mouth Steve?
Steve this is what you wrote here...
I asked you what scriptures do you feel are bogus? Your the one that said I used bogus proof texts. I asked which ones did you feel were bogus. They were your words not mine I am just asking you which ones.
Not really Steve I provided scriptures as proof texts earlier to show that the scriptures you provided were taken out of context and did not fit the interpretation you were trying to put on them. Now I do not mind what you think as they are God's WORD'S not mine. So your argument is between you and God. If you feel something that I have said is not correct please feel free to address the posts and scriptures that have been provided as a help to you and prove your accusations. All I hear so far is your words in place of God's WORD. We ought to obey God rather then the teachings and traditions of men that break ther commandments of God. *ACTS 5:29; ROMANS 1:5; MATTHEW 15:3-9.
Not at all Steve, you have been provided scriptures proof for everything that has been posted to you. All your doing is making empty claims you cannot prove with scripture. Only God's WORD is true *ROMANS 1:5. We ought to obey God rather then the teachings and traditions of men that break ther commandments of God. *ACTS 5:29; MATTHEW 15:3-9.
The point Jesus was making was that the Sabbath was made for man. I think you missed it or ignored the first half of the scripture in order to try and make it mean something else.
MARK 2:27, And he said to them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the sabbath.
So where does it say in God's WORD that God's 4th commandment has now been ABOLSHED and we are now commaded to keep Sunday as a HOLY DAY? (Scripture please Steve)
I am happy when I see you post these scriptures. What do you think they mean?

    Thanks for sharing.

I see a lot of scrap book theology.. meaning i see a lot of cut and pasting, places where you take verses out of their written biblical context and the pasted on the back of whatever you had to say...

    riddle me this..

If God wanted what you said known the way you said it then why oh why is it not compiled or all written down one place in the bible?

After all if not for you or your religion this specific take this scrap book doctrine would not otherwise be known... Think about who else would have come up on this specific combination of verses? So then you should ask yourself to whom is God speaking if you need a specific combination of verse fragments pasted together with just the right sermon to get to your doctrine?

Why oh why would God make it so hard to read his bible? unless... he didn't. What if there was a single book that put everything sin and law in perspective? would you yield to this singular source teaching or would you deny it and bind yourself with the law? (which according to this single source you are more than welcome to do/Which is why I will not force it on you, lest my freedom become your stumbling block.) If you need the law if you have so much freedom you can bnd yourself with it, however there comes a warning that you must really really live by every letter..

So if when you are read to be free let me know, otherwise just thing about what I said about having to pull scraps of verses together to create doctrine, and who God is speaking to... would anyone else find this message out side my church/ my group of people who are taught to see these verses this way with this glued on message? if no then know God is not the one speaking you are, but again if there is grace when we sin there is also grace when we worship with all we have and come up with our own self served doctrines as well. God will allow you to serve under the law as long as you like if that is what you need. If however you are ready to live free then you are obligated to seek out the truth.

All I see is your words written over God's WORD. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that seek to break the commandments of God. If you believe your statement to be true then prove it with the scriptures. Now if you cannot why do you not believe God's WORD?

Riddle me this why is it written in God's WORD the following scriptures and what do you think they means?

    MATTHEW 13:14-15
[14], And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which said, By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive:
[15], For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

    MATTHEW 3:19-21
[19], And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20], For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21], But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are worked in God.

    1 CORINTHIANS 1:19-21
[19], For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
[20], Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
[21], For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

    1 CORINTHIANS 3:19
[19], For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.

Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men. Jesus says all those who follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9 and the reason that those who do not come to the light is because their deeds were evil. Who should we believe your words or God's? *ROMANS 3:4.

    Hope this helps.
