And I just skimmed over these verses, because I say, hey, why not go to town on this guy, but there's literally nothing to be proven here.

Jesus speaks about those who are genuinely saved, saying they will keep his commands. He tells those who believe in him to love him and keep his commands. He writes in Matthew that in the end he will judge the tree by it's fruit, that is, by the things a person failed to do he will prove that their faith is ingenuine and that they were not settled on the rock who is Jesus and his blood. The righteous however, will display fruit of salvation. It can be compared to how God sent angels to investigate whether Sodom ans Gomorrah was wicked. God of course knew they were, but God is poetic and relational and so he acted it out. In the same sense, he knows who are righteous and vile at Judgement, but inspects the fruit to determine the tree.

James writes that saving faith will show itself through works. He says that a faith without works is no faith at all, but a vain faith, a faith in something other than what is the true gospel.

As for the whole "slaves to sin", there is not a single person alive who does not habitually sin. Every married person looks at another woman/man lustfully on occassion, and Jesus confirmed looking with lust is sin, and since they continue to do it they are habitual sinners. If you say you do not, you are a liar. It is clear you are trying to guilt those who are stuck in the sin of masturbation, similar sins, those who swear, those who are imperfect, and you are not fooling any of the wise, nor are you intimidating others with hellfire who are secure and sure of their salvation, but rather are humiliating and causing the weak who are the Holy God of Israel's children to doubt they have God's love eternally. And since you say you are without habitual sin, you are practicing hypocricy.

It is true the righteous practice righteousness, and major sins being committed to which someone does not repent are signs they are not saved. But these are not the sins you are talking about and condemning people for, these are not the sins you hold your holy head high over others for having "conquered".

So yeah. How about that.

Wow.. I cant hit on all this. Clear you believe in works. I know what GOD told me.. He Himself about righteousness for one. To others.. one must remember.. we all dont grow up the same. Meaning age in this world, but its not the same as spiritual age. Some can know the word in side and out.. know all the Hebrew and Greek. Yet still be a baby in Christ. So.. to go deep would only cause more confusion.

What was born again? What became new? Whats the new man? That was created in righteousness and true holiness? What did the sweet sweet Holy spirit mean "no longer I that sin but sin that is in me"? What did HE mean "whoever is born of GOD does not sin"? THINK! What is FLESH what is SPIRIT? Can that which GOD made NEW sin? Are we seeing just in the flesh or spirit?

If one wants to keep trying get keep righteousness through good works. They will always fail. And Salvation is a gift....GIFT. Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. How can we as man give back stop this GIFT. We cant go back up and offer something for the SIN we just did. Can Christ die again? This is putting Christ to open shame. As if what a GOD did was not enough for that sin you just did.

What Christ IS..is what we are. His righteousness. Gods JOY..Gods peace.. Gods Armor..Gods strength. On and on. NONE of it is us. What you leave out is NO MAN will ever glory in His sight. I am in right standing with my GOD simply because I believe in Jesus. I can't do anything to KEEP it or lose it. I cant get MORE righteous. My sinning can stop the Holy Spirit and things like that.

See if you ask me "so your right?" Holy Jesus no. But I will LISTEN...look into what one says. My brother.. I do not see never have that I am saved by works or I have to do things to keep my righteousness. You tend to ADD things to verses that is not written.

I watched a man.. preacher gone home now. What I LOVED is when He said "don't take my word for it.. don't! You look it up.. you search" so for so on. Very wise. JESUS IS REAL! He is not OUR to give away.
