Sons of god did marry women in the past. Angels can assume disguises as well. Jesus being born in a specific little own on earth to a virgin is not a vague claim. It was a specific prediction that happened. You don't get to wave away reality using a disdain of fables.

That would be "Matthew". We know it because we can read Isiah 7 (the whole thing) and see that the prophesied child was not a savior, but as a marker of his young future for when the lands of the kings enemies will be abandoned. (This on is just an irrelevant prophecy, not a fake one.)

It could have had some bits of truth in it, or not. As I mentioned God's angels can be unrecognizable. In disguise. We could meet one and never know it. So I do not see it as impossible that even a fallen angel could adopt some sort of disguise. Who really knows? The bible does say Satan's messengers appear as beings of light. Then there are the wolves disguised as sheep. Then there are angels that some see and others do not at the same time. Etc. In the past there also were sons of god that came into the world and married women. I couldn't say if some twisted word of mouth passed on stories of that time may have existed and became legends or whatever. I kind of doubt it but who really knows?

The modern worshippers of the old gods at least tend to not defend all the silliness from their stories. Guess disbelief in supernatural things is so bad even the claims from other pantheons need to be defended as happening in some way.

Paul asserted, "Your master is the one you obey," and I think that is a pertinent truism.

I find it worth examining myself after taking an action, particularly one that proved to be a mistake, "Who or what was I obeying when I took that particular action?" Most often, it was some internal urge or fear--my bad self--that I had obeyed.
