Does anyone listen to Ann Coulter anymore?

Did we all forget that Sly apologized for using that term? Has Ann Coulter ever apologized for anything she has said?? I don't think so.

LOL! Sorry, but this shopper ain't buying his apology, and neither did a BUNCH of my fellow Wisconsinites.

Madison radio host apologized Monday for calling secretary of state nominee Condoleezza Rice "Aunt Jemima" on his show last week, but refused to back down from his criticism that she is a "black trophy" of the Bush administration.

Nevermind she's actually the most-educated person on the cabinet, is a foreign affairs expert (having lived & studied in countries like Russia for a number of years), and so on & so on. Nah, Bush just chose her because she's black. Um, I guess some of us forgot he's AGAINST affirmative action. He feels people should be chosen on merit alone - not because the name on the application is Shaniqua, Chen-Lu, or Juan for example.

No it does not clear THAT up...
I posted a follow up not only because i can but becuse I saw how skewed his statement had become in the hands of iggnorance, let me kindly remind you that things ARE NOT always as they seem.
I still do not understand what you are saying..let me get this right.. if a person uses a racial slur. as long as the person or person of that group being slurred against "approves" then it has your blessing and is "ok"?
Even though every other person of that race may be outraged and not approve?,, for instance it was Condi Rice who had the comment directed or stated about her so please tell me how you consider mhatten to have any authority to dictate wether or not the stament could be approved or disapproved ( no disrespect intended "M" ) simply because mhatten shares one of he same ethnic backgrounds as Condi Rice?
racism is racism no matter who may claim that they "approve" 1) its against the law, 2) its just plain old.. WRONG 3) those that allow it to take place and do nothing to stop it are no better than those commiting the act.
This is simply my opinion, I like you are entitled to your own as well, I do thank you for the good debate and the respect for all those involved.

Oops! Sorry, just getting tired of having my statements continuously turned around to look like I think it's ok for someone to use a deragatory comment. Let me spell it out a little bit better, since it STILL wasn't clear in the last two posts. If you don't understand what I'm saying in this post, then I think it will be because you don't WANT to??? No offense.

Here you are: I don't think it's ok for ANYONE to use a deragatory remark, even if applies to their own race. Is that clear now? All I said that when discussing the issue, if a person of that race speaks up & says, "I didn't have a problem with it", it will NOT make me change my mind (as Mhatten well knows), but I'm a little more respectful of their "educated & experienced" opinion than someone else's who doesn't understand what that particular race goes through on a daily basis.

Whew!!! So, if a black female radio show host called Condi Rice an "Aunt Jemima", I would still be offended & ticked off, period. However, it's that much WORSE coming from a WHITE MALE, IMO. Are we cool, now???

I certainly don't defend liberals who lie and distort the facts, but I will be honest and say that I am less likely to check their facts than I am of conservatives. It's an admitted bias that I have.

I can't stand Ann Coulter. She's such a hypocrite. I was reading Slander (against my will) and she had this whole section on how only democrats, and only democrats, resort to childish name calling. She then gives a few examples (most of which were taken out of context). So I finish reading the section and go online to see the story about her getting fired from her job covering the DNC. She said something about women's rights advocats and how they were all ugly and stuff like that - entire sections of her article was childish name calling.

I really don't care for Ann at all, she is such an obnoxious, loud mouthed, opinionated,
self righteous, irrogant, rude, person, she has no respect for anyone that does not agree with her. It is her way or no way. I really have a hard time stomaching someone like that.

Sometimes that attitude fits in perfectly. :D

Specially from a woman!

That quote is commonly used against Coulter, but from what I've read, it was taken out of context.

I believe she was speaking as a 'what if' scenario ...

So why did she say "We should" as opposed to "Should we", then? No one took her out of context. Anyone who has read anything written by her will fully understand her  "context".

This doesn't negate the fact that he apologized for using the term, while Ann Coulters has never apologized for anything, including calling for the forced conversion of the world's muslims. Remember, this is a thread about Ann Coulter, not anyone else. Start another thread on him, if you want.

And it appears Wisconsinites have differing opinions, as illustrated by the fact that you and I disagree on just about everything.

Ann Coulter is pure, unadulterated evil.
And then I would guess you are one that owns a poster of a kitten playing with a ball of yarn on one of you walls. Perhaps a litter of puppies in a basket with a bow on top?

Huh?

No, I have posters of paintings by Klimt, Chagall, Hunderwasser and others, mostly.

Your point?

Yes, we'll agree to disagree on the weak "I'm sorry, BUT" apology that radio host gave. You're right, I don't know if Ann Coulter has ever apologized for some of her rhetoric, but I also don't pay her much attention either, to be honest.

P.S. You KNOW we don't disagree on everything. LOL! Just on political matters, mainly. I fully supported by posting you a note on your Rabbi/Muslim Cleric Conference on Peace, for example. :) Personally, I also support you as a teacher (which makes you a SAINT, in my book.). Finally, you can't dump ALL Wisconsinites into the same "conservative" category (even though a lot of us are), as John Kerry still won our state. (by a small margin, unfortunately, but he still did, nevertheless, lol!).

My point? could it be selfrighteousness? I'm sure your thinking, not me, I'm not selfrighteous.

Yes, it fits in perfectly with neo-nazi US christofascism.

Ann Coulter is pure, unadulterated evil.

Those are your words not mine.

As if you don't do the same...face it, Ann Coulter is a challenge. You should be happy that you get one.
