I am afraid that she will so distort the political discussion in this country that we may never get around to discussing real issues like health care and the environment (which Ann believes should be "raped"). She stands for everything I am against. Which, by itself, would be fine. But she is dishonest. And this type if intellectual dishonesty needs to be challenged.
It's kind of hard to find a person who is not sexist nowdays. I can dig it but the wolf has got to be the Fonz of them all, the coolest of the cool, a billion times more cool then the most masculine cougar. Besides I heard male cougars eat quiche.BLESSEDBETHEMEEK said:thats kind of sexist...I think that a pet cougar is highly masculine lol....

What i am trying to say that no matter what you beleive in stick with it, dont allow yourself to get caught up with "party lines" or party ideals.. God blessesed us with a brain and its high time people started using it. No matter what side of the proverbial fence you are on there will always be a group of extremeists who will go overboard with their Ideals and want all others to bow down to them. talking heads are just that.![]()

There's a lot of hate being spread in Ann Coulter's direction in this thread, but here is a fact. While two posters have taken her out of context, not one has refuted anything Ann has said. Just a lot of personal animosity because she's an outspoken conservative. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that she's a woman, but maybe I'm wrong on that.Grizzly said:Hate doesn't have to be fear. But I will admit I am afraid. Well, that's great. From now on, all we have to do is say someone goes against everything we stand for, and they are officially refuted. Did you ever think that maybe everything Grizzly stands for is wrong?. There, I just refuted Grizzly. Wow!! This is funBLESSEDBETHEMEEK said:by saying that she goes against everything that he DOES stand for i think that refutes her and her propaganda...
i stand 100% behind Grizzly and fear that people will listen to these talking heads and go with the popular shift in soceity, think of all the fads that have come and gone?![]()

Here, in here January 6th column, after she declares that liberals love the US like OJ loved Nicole (very nice) she rails against the Ney York Times for calling the US response to the tsunami as stingy. I quote
"But the New York Times was sticking with "stingy." In an editorial subtly titled "Are We Stingy? Yes," the Times said the U.N. sponge "was right on target." This followed up a patriotic editorial a few days earlier titled "America, the Indifferent."
America's stinginess is a long-standing leitmotif for liberals which is getting hard to square with their love for America. When it comes to heaping insults on America, U.S. liberals are the nation's leading donors. "
However, that editorial was written after the US pledged 30 million dollars. The US has now raised it to 350 million. So, in hindsight, 30 million was stingy (no doubt due to the fact that perhaps the full extent of the devastation was not realized).

In fact, on January 4th, the TIMES actually praised President Bush for raising the dollar amount.

Does this appear anywhere in Ann Coulters January 6th article? Heaven's no. This would ruin Ann's political hackery. But let's face it. The NYT was correct (twice) and Ann has her "red state" goggles on.
Not wrong at all on that point Belmonds. The only opinion a woman can have in this country that is her own should be liberal. The media tells us that as well as Hollywood. That is a fact.Blemonds said:Just a lot of personal animosity because she's an outspoken conservative. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that she's a woman, but maybe I'm wrong on that.
And they won the right to distort, and polls of their viewers show they do it rather well. I think the sums up the difference between news organizations.D. Scarlatti said:At least CBS and Rather retracted and issued apologies, whereas Faux went to court insisting on its right to require its reporters to report falsehoods and distortions.
"Ann Coulter, Constitutional Lawyer" - that's about as faux as it gets.
Exactly! I would say she goes out of her way to get attention but so do liberal women.jsn112 said:If you are a liberal, of course you will hate her. Anne is an anti Gloria Allred. I once heard Anne and one of Kerry's advisers go at it on Hannity's show. It was very funny. She kicked him to the curb. I love that woman.
