You're right i dont have the authority.

Matthew 6:19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

28 And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

I think I understand now. Maybe we aren't serving the same God. The God you serve doesn't give more than food and clothes. The one I serve gives the desires of the heart....whatever it is. So I guess we are both right....The confusion was because we felt we were talking about the same being.

Yes, just ignore the part about not storing wealth on earth but in heaven.

Ignore also the part about desiring wealth being a snare, and that it errs from the faith.

No misreading. Originally, You said God won’t make you something you don’t want to be, Not God won’t make you rich if you want to be poor. Moses didn’t want to be a leader and Jonah didn’t want to be a prophet to Nineveh. Those were 2 examples of God making someone something they didn’t want to be.

People ask for suffering and trials? Not sure about that. Even Jesus asked for his cup to be passed.

Interesting words coming from someone who offers very vague explanations and encourages people to follow their hearts desires.

In that case, I desire a mansion, yacht, and a billion dollars. Have you got it?

    Deu 15:7
“If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the LORD your God is giving you,
you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother

Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary

    LUKE 16:
19 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day."
20 "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

    Another vague explanation.

If “whatever it is” refers to
heavenly treasures then you both serve the same God.

However, if “whatever it is” refers to worldly possessions, you worship a false god and are preaching a false gospel.

Agreed. Some of us serve God who wrote all of scripture (including Job and Deuteronomy 8:18). Others want to cherry pick.

Get real. The Lord said not to store your wealth on earth.

The Lord also blessed Job, Solomon and others in scripture with earthly wealth. God is much greater than the limitations you are trying to place on Him.

Solomon also had many wives. Does that mean we can follow that example? God said not to store money on earth. Why cant you accept that?

11 God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.” 2 Chronicles 1:11-12

    Indeed.

I dont fault them though. The Pharisee knew the bible better than all of us.....Yet there father was the devil when they thought they were serving God. They believe in their version of scriptures so much that they told Jesus He was wrong. If Jesus cant change their minds, what chance do I have?

Solomon also had many wives. Can i have that too?

Note the scripture you posted. Note these words. "and none after you will have"

You cannot follow solomon's example, no one can. God said it Himself.

The Pharisees Followed their lord as well......It wasnt until the end they found out it was the wrong one, and even when Jesus told them it was the wrong one....they didnt believe it or consider it. We can only but expect the same today. They went on condemning people who didnt believe their interpretations and additions to scripture. They trusted in their riches and not in God.......and im not talking about money.......

Im not condemning anyone, its you who have condemned me multiple times. My whole point was simply that desiring wealth is a snare, as its written, and that we should store wealth in heaven not on earth, as its written. Im following the Lords word, you are following solomon, even though God said no one will follow him.
