Boys were circumcised on the 8th day to show that they would be consecrated to the Father in Heaven. This is to happen after the millennial rule Christ which is the 7th day (1000 year period). If there were not more sons to come God would have not needed to wait until the 1000 year period to expire.

When Jesus makes His enemies His footstool facing "Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you." They will say anything including "Jesus, is Lord" to avoid their deserved punishment. See Matthew 25:46

Since people can only say that Jesus is Lord by the Holy Spirit, I guess those "many" who say to Jesus, "Lord, Lord," vs. 22, must have the Holy Spirit so why does Jesus tell them, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity?"

I need to get me some special Universalist glasses which only see the verses which, when quoted out-of-context, as in the above quotes. appear to say that all mankind will be saved, the unrighteous and righteous alike, even after death.
Pity that Universalists can't see the following verses, where Jesus, Himself, is speaking;

Jesus NEVER said everyone will enter the kingdom heaven. Jesus said, "not everyone who tells me, ‘Lord, Lord’ who will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven," Then Jesus said, MANY, not a few, will call Him Lord, Lord but He will say to those many, "I never knew you! Yes, this idea of Eternal Torment has sinners remaining. If sinners could remain then that would mean the wage of sin would remain which is Death. The BIBLE is clear that Death will be abolished. There is only one thing that Christ ever showed that defeats Death and that was LIFE!

First, the Biblical term is "Eternal Punishment!" NOT "torment." Those words were spoken by Jesus, Himself, in Matthew 25:46 You have heard of Him, haven't you?

EOB Matthew:25:46 When he will answer them, saying: ‘Amen, I tell you: as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 These [ones on the left] will go away into eternal [αἰώνιος/aionios] punishment, [κόλασις/kolasis] but the righteous into eternal [αἰώνιος/aionios] life.”[EOB p. 96]​

…..Greek has been the language of the Eastern Greek Orthodox church since its inception, 2000 years ago +/-. Note, the native Greek speaking Eastern Orthodox Greek scholars, translators of the EOB, translated “aionios,” in Matt 25:46, as “eternal,” NOT “age.” It is impossible to translate "aionios" as "age" because "aionios" is an adjective and "age" is a noun.

In the EOB the Greek word “kolasis” is translated “punishment” in both Matt 25:46 and 1 John 4:18.

Sorry, that is impossible, both “prune” and “correction” are verbs. “Kolasis” is a noun. A noun cannot be translated as a verb.
Also according to the EOB Greek scholars “kolasis” means “punishment.”
Note: in 1 John 4:18 there is no correction, the one with “kolasis” is not made perfect. Thus “kolasis” does not/cannot mean “correction.”
…..It is acknowledged that modern Greek differs from koine Greek but I am confident that the native Greek speaking EOB scholars, supported by 2000 years +/- of continuous, uninterrupted Greek scholarship, are competent enough to know the correct translation of obsolete Greek words which may have changed in meaning or are no longer in use and to translate them correctly. In the same way English speaking scholars today know the meaning of obsolete English words which occur in the 1611 KJV and can define them correctly.

It is a beautiful thing to even known that others embrace universalism as a result of this, to know that we are that close to a knowledge of God. God does love us. God's love for us cannot fail. Paul says that God is RESPONSIBLE for our sinful state:

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

God knowing the end from the beginning put the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the midst of the Garden knowing that man were take of it. For it was NECESSARY that man take of it because God is creating HIS OWN KIND which knows good and evil. God KNEW that Adam would take of the forbidden fruit and that all born unto Adam would then be condemned and need a seed not of Adam to redeem us - a virgin birth by the Holy Spirit. Thank you God for our Savior - Jesus!

Anybody can make the Bible say almost anything by quoting selective verses out-of-context.
The same apostle Paul who wrote the 2 vss above also wrote the following.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Nothing can stop this plan! God does what He pleases to do. The devil and rebellious angels can not stop God. Human tradition can not stop God. God says that everyone will be saved, henceforth, everyone will gbe saved!
