The crash at Roswell in 1947 was a balloon, but not for weather, but rather detecting Soviet nuclear tests.

There *is* an Area 51 at Groom Lake and this was the test site for the SR-71 spy plane and at least one of the first stealth projects (F117 & B2).

I saw an actual B2 (or was it a B1, I forget) flying in the daylight over SD in the late 80s.
My Dad worked for the Navy as a civilian engineer. He worked on the F-14 and engine test cells. I remember he was always having to go in on the weekends because one of the cells went down. When I was 4 or 5 years old we went to his work and they had a poster with a picture of the SR-71. I was hooked and thought it was the coolest thing. I started putting together model airplanes pretty obsessively after that. Plus, there were always fighter jets flying low over the house because of touch and go exercises at the nearby Naval Air Station.

I don't think a few blurry UFO videos are quite what project Blue Beam was intended to be.
But of course, we have more than just a few blurry videos. We have the Pentagon and the navy releasing classified video, taken with sophisticated imaging equipment. And we have Pentagon officials claiming that they have recovered off world craft. That's a fact. We also have thousands of films, thousands of eye witness accounts and radar returns going back 80 years. UFOs exist, that's a fact. The question is what are they and where do they come from.

Maybe they're testing the waters to see how the public will react to disclosure or maybe they are gaslighting us for some reason. I don't know. But to say all we have are a few blurry images is dropping a lot of context.

Anyone can make claims. What we need is substantive evidence.

Blurry videos. Have you links to any sharp videos of UFOs?

All UFOs are impervious to focus. It's their special property.

You can use google as well as I can. I'd say those Navy videos are pretty clear. I don't think you're going to find any clearer than those unless the thing lands if front of someone with a high quality camera and a sturdy tripod. A lot of the evidence is classified, that's why this disclosure by the Pentagon is significant.

OK; the Navy videos I've seen are blurry, i.e. one can only just make out a vague shape, let alone any detail. Claims of definitive classified evidence are just claims ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Too funny! What I can't stand is when the camera is moving because of a long zoom and you can almost make out detail but it keeps jiggling.

Well, of course it is. I have seen many UFOs. Most of them I quickly identified. Several of those were not flying and some were not objects. That's why I prefer the neologism UAP - Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.
So, while unidentified flying objects and unidentified aerial phenomena are certainly real, it is an enormous and unjustified leap to presume that they are artificial objects, directed by intelligence. If that is the route you are going down I think you, unconsciously, place an obstacle in front of a sober and serious investigation of the subject.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Some of these "wonders" in the sky require Biblical terminology to properly understand them.

I would ask you for evidence, but I know you are fundamentally opposed to providing anything that smacks of such.

I'd give it to you, if I had any. I hope you know that.

Widowed
I had wanted to see one all my life and it finally happened in 2014. It was huge, at least 600 ft. wide. I know this because I saw it moving behind a mountain peak and it was as wide as the top of the mountain and I scaled it off of a GIS map. Silent. Orange like the color of flame. Shaped like one of those paper crowns from Burger King that we used to get as kids. Moved slowly down the mountain range and then took off in the blink of an eye. Saw various different ones for the next 7 days. Since then at least once a year. There are some military bases and defense contractors over the mountains and I suspect this area is their test area because it's so sparsely populated. Whatever they are they have control of gravity and inertia because the maneuvers they make would be impossible without it.

Strangely I felt no fear that first time, just wonder and excitement. Raced home to tell the family and my daughter saw it out the kitchen window.

Do you remember the date and time and the location of the event? In particular, did it occur during the day or at night? What were the angular dimensions of the object; for example, was it smaller of larger than the Moon (0.5°) or the distance between the Pointers of the Big Dipper (5°). How long was it visible for? Did anybody else see it, and were there any reports of it in the newspapers or on the Internet? I look forward to receiving your reply.

That's true. The ones I saw weren't really flying. They were hovering, zipping, drifting... but not flying in the conventional sense.
