  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Confused about the commandment that was "abolished." (2)

View almost two hours of SDA teaching?

Not very tempting.

If you can't explain what you mean by 'faith' in one post in your own words then I reckon you have already lost the debate.
Pretty much passing the buck.

I disagree wih your logic. I disagree that the Holy Spirit leads one back to the law. You should read Gal 5 on the subject.

bugkiller

Back? Your saying that Gods ways(Law of God), are considered back into bondage?

Stealing, killing and adultry, bearing false witness, rejecting God, coveting are against God. The Holy Spirit leads to life, God. The Holy Spirit is God. Fighting against the 10 commandments only proves that the one fighting against the 10 commandments is against God. The 10 commandments are for God.

I do not understand why you continue to ask this question that has been answered many times. Is it only because you are demanding an answer you want?

bugkiller

I think it is a reasonable question, that deserves a reasonable response. If one ask to go a mile, go two.

So how do we, who are non-Jews, follow that Torah? As the Jews do today?

.

How does one believe in the Holy Bible? By God alone.

Torah is first 5 books. The gospels speak highly of Moses. Who rejects the validity of Adam when the gospels proclaim it? Believe in the Torah now?

Such as those who keep the Fri-Sat Sabbath group vs the Sunday worship group

.

Does one seriously attempt to reject another by days of worship?

Wouldn't that line up with the "touch not, taste not" crowd?

Who is so minimal that they condemn another based on days of worship?

God is worthy to be praised every day.

Why do we need the sacrifice of Christ Jesus to begin with?

Amazing Point! (I respond as a man) Lol. God is good.

I enjoy your post, though I recognized some "complimenting others" on well there post against the 10 commandments and decided to portray a mirrior. No offense.

Flattery is a tool of the devil.

Apologies if I offended your post in anyway.

It is because they believe keeping the sabbath is a requirement of salvation. Read all the forums, especially the old threads.

bugkilller

On the contrary, I view it as a way of disipline. Doing as the Lord instructs exactly.

Do I condemn another who worships on tuesdays? God forbid. Though I also don't realize a reason to condemn those worshipping on a certain day they are led to.

I dont think you'll get a straight answer from SDA. Expect a question.............

Salvation is of God. If they worship on saturday, who is ignorant enough to comdemn them?

If your worship is on sunday, what is the difference? Have you both not prescribed a certain day? God is perfect, who is to go against God? Loving one another is the true bearing of a believer in God versus an enemy of God.

So tell me who is saved... the person that accepts Jesus by faith or the one that tries (and fails) to not dishonor their parents, cheat on their spouse, covet, lie, steal, blaspheme God's name, worship idols?

God have mercy on the faulters that fail to live up to His ways.

The point is, do you willfully reject Gods ways(by preaching against the law of God), or accept them?

No.... only the Jewish people were given the sabbath everyone else keeping it is for nought because they are not Jews and the blessings of the Old Covenant don't apply to non Jews. Being a Christian doesn't make you a Jew.

Old Covenant Jews have a blessing unknown to creation? Where?

Do you willingly reject the new covenant for the old?
