I can't talk Scripture with someone who does not consider Genesis through Revelation to be the Word of God...

You cannot argue anything honest , can you ? *You* claim something not contained in the Scriptures . My reply was to *your* unfounded statements . Your rewording of my statements is the same that you do with the Scriptures that you claim to worship .

As you strip the Scriptures of the commands of the Sabbath to meet your own desires and then add to the Scriptures commands of the Sabbath to yoke others , you state yourself that you are above the Scriptures .

Interesting that Revelation 6:5 uses that greek word for "yoke".
Need to study on that more......

Decided to keep the fourth commandment

As a Christian, I believe that keeping God's holy law does not save a person from their sins. Only the blood of Christ can do that. But I also believe that the blood of Christ does not give us a license to insult God's mercy by violating the Ten Commandments.

God's mercy is never an excuse to sin. The ten commandments is a covenant that administers death. Christian have a new covenant that administer life. Accusation about freedom to commiting sin is a false accusation made up by SDA.

If, to our amazement, the government declared that the Ten Commandments would be taught in public schools, I don't think any Christian would say, "No, we're not under the law, we don't need the Ten Commandments." However, this is the exact attitude that Christians have whenever the fourth commandment is brought up. If only nine of the Ten Commandments were taught in public schools, would that make Christians more comfortable?

The forth commandment is a sign of the old covenant, there is nothing moral about it. The other 9 have always been sinful acts.

And yes, I'm aware of all the verses that are used to argue against the Sabbath. But whether we like it or not, the Sabbath is still a commandment of God, and the Bible does actually teach that those who trample the blood of Christ will not enter heaven. I think to be on the safe side we should honor the Sabbath commandment, just as we would honor the other none commandments.

Gentiles NEVER kept the Sabbath. They faced the Death Penalty if they tried. The Commandment was never "abolished," it was REPLACED by Christianity, for those who accepted Christ. It never applied to Gentiles in the first place.

The Ten Commandments are neither necessary or sufficient under the New Covenant. They do not prohibit pride, gluttony, drunkenness, false prophets, greed, wife battery, disrespect for Bishops, Judaizing, refusing to share a table with Gentiles. Nor do they require supporting widows and orphans, submitting to torture on behalf of Jesus Christ, submitting to governmental authority, and especially submitting to Governmental Authority that seeks to kill you for being a Christian. The parts of the Ten Commandments that are still applicable were reaffirmed by either Jesus or Paul or both. The Sabbath was not reaffirmed, since it was fulfilled by Jesus Christ, who give us permanent "rest." In Acts 15, the Sabbath was never mentioned as a requirement for Gentile Christians since Sabbath Keeping had never an option for them under the Laws of Judaism. Sabbath Keeping was specifically denounced in numerous places in the Epistles and was a heresy that was excommunicated by the First and Second Century Church Fathers.

Circumcision was required to undergo the conversion to Judaism that made Sabbath Keeping possible. No Circumcision meant no Sabbath. The Sabbath was NEVER kept by Gentiles. Seventh Day Adventists care NOTHING about the "Ten Commandments," since 9 of them were reaffirmed in the New Testament in multiple places. When they deceitfully say "Ten Commandments," what they really mean is "The Sabbath." They have completely rejected the Resurrection and replaced it with the Sabbath.
