Back to the Future, another great one...loved all 3, but the first one was my fav...I like the time travel type movies...

The 1st one was my favorite too, but like the 2nd and the 3rd too. That's usually the case with the movies that have sequels - the 1st one is the best.

"God Gave Rock and Roll To You" was originally recorded by the band Argent ("Hold Your Head Up") in the '70s. But Petra did cover it before Kiss ruined it. :) At least I think I have the chronology right.

Interesting info. Thanks for letting us know:)

I can't stand 80's pop, but I like punk and New Wave from the early 80's and underground and alternative stuff from later in the decade.

I am down with that. People forget about that side of the 80's. Agent Orange, Misfits, Social Distortion, Ramones, Bad Brains, Dead Kennedy's, Adolescents, Minor Threat, etc...

Mind you, not many are very in-tow with a Christian message but it is good aggressive sound and that is what I can dig now and again.

I saw a Cure video earlier but nobody mentioned any of the other Dark Wave bands, such as The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, Xymox... I am into those guys, which took me into the Goth side of things.

Oh, I can't forget mentioning hair metal ballads. Some of my favorite tunes...

I know... From The Misfits to Hardcore Punk to Depeche Mode to 80's Goth to Warrant's "Heaven"? I am all over the place but music is music and music is fantastic. :)

Ever watch Night Court from the 80's? Loved that show...

No, I've never watched that. Maybe I'll look it up on youtube, bet someone uploaded it:) That's how I got to watch a lot of 80's movies - on youtube. Stand By me was relatively good movie, for younger audience though:) Also The Outsiders, though I am biased to that one. I really loved the book, so when I saw the movie I automatically liked it:)

It's probably on YouTube...they have the various seasons of Night Court at WalMart for $9.96....

I just watched it on youtube, seems like a pretty funny show. Another good one is Happy Days

I had a blast growing up in the 80's :)
So many good memories back there!

Here are some of my favs

Sweet Child O' Mine Music Video - YouTube

Europe - The Final Countdown - YouTube

Toronto - Even The Score - YouTube

Thanks for posting. I am technically a 90's child so I listen to the 90's and current stuff. But when I watch videos like Final countdown and some of the other ones that you posted, then I just feel the 80's music was so much better. I was 11, 12 years old in the 80's but I remember this special sound and the long hair and everthing:) It's great:) Thanks again for posting.
