I became an 80s fanatic in 1997 at age 7 when I first saw Tiffany's music video "I Think We're Alone Now" on VH1's Pop-up Video. I have had a crush on her when I was a boy, and I also grew up to other 80s artists' music videos on TV. A Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran (So Far Away)," Debbie Gibson's "Lost in Your Eyes," Taylor Dayne's "Tell it to My Heart," and especially Billy Idol's "White Wedding."
I can remember it like it was yesterday that I saw The Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian," Toto's "Rosanna," and Men at Work's "Down Under," especially Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue."

I remember when Men at Work first came out. There was an article in the paper about them about how they were going to be the next Beatles. Their first album was fantastic ()

Jason & The Scorchers - 19th Nervous Breakdown - YouTube

Jason and the Scorchers, along with Rank and File, ushered in the "Cowpunk" movement.

I'm Not Your Man (live) - Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers - YouTube

These guys were a local band who had a minor hit with this song. Tommy Conwell's brother, Joe, played for the Eagles for five years and Tommy was an elementary school teacher (no, really) in South Jersey.

ROCKPILE - LIVE 1980 - Track #03 of 18 - "I Knew The Bride (When She Used To Rock-N-Roll)" - YouTube

Sorry for the long intro and bad sound quality, but it's Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds on one stage together, so it's worth it.

Los Lobos - Will the Wolf Survive? - YouTube

Dwight Yoakam // Guitars Cadillacs - YouTube

First time I ever heard Dwight Yoakam, I almost drove my car off the road.

There were so many different genres and styles of music back then. The music was incredibly diverse. I was always more into Euro alternative New Wave, but they were all good. Here are a few of my favorites growing up, and they still are:

The Cure - Just like heaven (subtitulado)✔ - YouTube

New Order - True Faith - YouTube

Depeche Mode - Never Let Me Down Again - lyrics - YouTube

The Cure-Fascination Street (With Lyrics) - YouTube

Other stuff:

Poison - I Won't Forget You - YouTube

Bryan Adams - Summer Of '69 - YouTube

I could keep going and going with all these videos .....
