I have no idea what tests would determine the existence of a god. All I can do is evaluate your claims and decide if best reflects reality or not.

You don't? then I will tell you, if Hitchslap decides that what he believes is right he will believe it,
if some new evidence comes along tomorrow to make him change his mind he will readily change it,
you on the other hand do not have that luxury because you are stuck with believing your dogma,
you must dismiss everything that could [and should] change your mind in favour of something that does not allow you to change your mind.

If Hitchslap changes his mind he just changes his opinion, if you change your mind you change your life.

Just ask yourself this, other than your religion what else do you believe without having evidence that it's true?
    I would guess nothing.

Was Adolf Hitler a practicing devout Christian?

It seems that there are some atheistic modern liberals who want to push very hard the idea that Adolf Hitler was a practicing devout Christian. That he avidly practiced Christian principles on a daily basis. And that he proclaimed the Word of God to everyone he met.

Was Adolf Hitler really a practicing devout Christian? Well, to answer this question, we must define what a practicing devout Christian really is.

In Matthew 22:35-40, Jesus was asked by an expert of the law, "Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?" Jesus explained to him that the greatest command in the law is to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul. And the second greatest command is to love others as yourself. Jesus went on to explain that if you follow these two great commandments, you will automatically fulfill the Ten Commandments.

So according to Jesus, a practicing devout Christian is someone who loves God and people on a daily basis. Did Adolf Hitler love God and people on a daily basis? Well, let's see:

    - Hitler was responsible for murdering six million Jews during World War 2.

    - Hitler was responsible for murdering tens of thousands of Gypsy children, and thousands of disabled children.

    - Hitler forbade Jewish doctors to treat non-Jews, and forbade Jews to marry non-Jews.

    - Hitler sent people he didn't like to the ghettos.

    - Hitler oversaw many concentration camps where Jews were worked to death. When they couldn't work anymore, they were gassed to death.

    - Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf," his political autobiography and treatise on the superiority of the "Aryan race" and the "menace" of the Jew.

    - Hitler had Jewish shops, houses and synagogues across Germany burned to the ground.

    - Hitler was responsible for the physically disabled, mentally ill, and others that he deemed worthless to be rounded up and sent to designated hospitals to be murdered.

    - Hitler was responsible for the murder of 500,000 Gypsies, between 10,000 and 25,000 homosexuals, 2,000 Jehovah's Witnesses, 3.5 million non-Jewish Poles, between 3.5 million and six million other Slavic civilians, four million Soviet prisoners of war, and 1.5 million political dissidents.

    - Hitler oversaw the murder of 46 million Europeans, and the destruction of Europe.

Given the above list, it's very clear that Adolf Hitler was NOT a practicing devout Christian. In fact, Adolf Hitler's life was as far from Christianity as one can get - the complete opposite! Adolf Hitler made absolutely NO attempt to follow God's commandments! He made absolutely NO attempt to love everyone as himself!

So any atheistic modern liberal who claims that Adolf Hitler was a practicing devout Christian doesn't know a thing about Hitler.

In fact, Adolf Hitler's behavior was very similar to other notorious modern liberals: Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Vladimir Lenin, President Ho Chi Minh, President Kim Il Sung, Prime Minister Pol Pot, and President Kim Jong Il.

None of the people listed above did what they did because they were Atheists, you need religion to make good men do bad things.

It's also very strange why every German soldier under Hitler had "Gott mit uns" [God with us] on their belt buckles,
Hitler would have had that removed in a second had he not been a Catholic.
Also Atheism was banned within the SS with all SS men being required to list themselves as Protestant, Catholic or "believer in God".

You are however free to believe whatever rubbish you choose to believe be it true or false.

He fooled a lot of people with that -- including you guys.

Even the Antichrist is going to fake a pass.

You could well be right, does that mean the writers of the bible could have also fooled Christians with Jesus?
are all religious people getting fooled by their religious books? you could well be right because that does make sense.
Talk about bending over backwards, you would tie yourself in knots if it would keep you believing.

    No.

Jesus of Nazareth would not have died on a cross as a setup for a false religion; and had He not been able to do the things He did, He never would have been crucified in the first place.
    Yes ... except Christians.
I'm sure it does to you.

There might well have been a man named Jesus who was crucified in fact as crucifixion was quite a common form of punishment then I expect there were lots of men called Jesus who were crucified, how many men in the US called John have been hung, gassed or electrocuted in the last 50 years?

As for doing the things he did, sorcerer's and magicians were everywhere in those days every Pharaoh and King had at least a couple.

Ginger, I understand that you have never experienced God. I do, I understand unless you do you can't believe in something that you have not experienced. What you don't understand is how someone experiences God. The experience is one element but there is more. The universe is indeed evidence for me that He is who He says He is. I know that God exists and is the Christian God, you can't just change your mind when you know something is true. I wish you could understand that.

From my side of this equation I see people refusing to see things right in front of their eyes.

I do not want to put you down Oncedeceived but I'm afraid I must, you have not experienced God you only imagine you have because the only God you have is in your imagination, someone put the idea of a God into your head and you took it from there just as a Muslim did with a different God.

What happens to the Gods of the Christians who lose their faith? where do their Gods go? I know you will say that the people who lose their faith were not true Christians to start with but that's just not true, it's like saying that if people who are in love fall out of love they were not really in love from the beginning, what is love and what is a God? they are both just feelings.
We have talked about this before when we talked about irrational fear from the movies, feelings can either lift you up or knock you down.

Music does it for me, sometimes I am so overwhelmed I cry like a baby, I have no doubt that singing your National Anthem brings a lump to your throat, I know my National Anthem does it for me, feelings that's all they are, I know that reality can be a bummer sometimes but it's better than living in a dream world.

I don't care either way if there is a God or not, we can't know so I don't worry about it, how many other things are out there that you don't know about? if you had been born in my country the odds are you would now be like me, had I been born where you are I would more than likely be like you, does belief in your God depend on the luck of the draw?

You've never experienced god, either, you've only convinced yourself he's real. This is obvious and right in front of your face, I don't know why you can't see this.

I think he's making the point that if the writers of what would become the Bible had known that the Bible would be used to justify genocide, wars, slavery, rape, incest, polygamy, and terrorism, they would've been mortified.

I have asked you if you can demonstrate that this experience of yours is "more" than self deception. Nothing yet.
How do you reconcile what you believe to be true and your inability to demonstrate it?
It is well documented that people see things that are not actually there (apophenia). That may be your problem with others not seeing what you see.

I would have said gobsmacked, but mortified is definitely better.
