For those who claim that you need abiogenesis in order for the theory of evolution to be true, could you please explain one thing?

What part of the theory of evolution would need to change if the first life on Earth were created by God, and all the life and species we see today evolved through natural processes from that first created life that we all share as a common ancestor?

The attempt to make evolution dependent on abiogenesis, is nothing more than an attempt to muddy the waters. When the evidence is not on your side, you act in desperation and try and confuse people, by keeping their attention, away from the facts.

Just like watching a good defense lawyer, who has a client with boatloads of evidence against him.

All that we know about God's creation is what we learn from the Bible, so I'm assuming you are referring to the God of the Bible? If you are, the Bible already gives us the details on how the first lifeforms emerged (try reading Genesis), and those details completely contradict abiogenesis/evolution theory. So your questions have no basis in reality.

The God of the Bible did not create all life from a single common ancestor (again, try reading Genesis). Obviously you are referring to some imaginary god of your own making.

i can give you some well known, and documented, testable, evidence, but you will outright reject it.

there is no evidence to the patient at all that a sugar pill will work.
but that patients faith that it WILL work, makes it work.

this effect is so powerful that double blind tests have to be devised to combat it in clinical trials.

First, are you saying that we can't learn anything about the creation through science?

Also, the topic is hypothetical and is completely neutral as to the identity of the deity. All I have done is set up a situation where a deity produces the first life. From that first life, new species evolve through natural processes that produce the type of biodiversity we see today.

If that were the case, what parts of the theory of evolution would we need to change?

I don't think it was abiogenesis. Abiogenesis was discarded more than a century and a half ago in favor of biogenesis. I think it was the later. Life comes from life. But who knows?

faith, or belief, is not built on deception.
it's primary basis is the unknown.
ir's an interesting notion you raised though, because when you have faith, or believe, in ANYTHING, there is the possibility of being deceived.

For the record, abiogenesis is still an area of active interest and it hasn't been replaced by biogenesis.

However, that isn't what this thread is about. The question in the opening post already assumes that life was created by a deity. What I am asking is if supernatural creation of life and evolution can both be true. If a deity creates the first, simple organisms and all life evolves through natural processes after that point, how would the theory of evolution have to change?
