As an analogy, there's always been crime, that doesn't excuse leadership of a city for handing a city over to the thugs or homeless.
See above, you just make this assertion that leadership of a city is handing a city over to thugs or homeless, and I think to myself, where do you come up with this stuff? It's like you're ruled by fear.
This border disaster is UNPRECEDENTED in enormity in the United States due to DELIBERATE actions on the part of the Biden administration.
Here you go again with blaming Biden for people coming here seeking asylum. It's like you don't stop to think that something is wrong in the countries these people are fleeing from.
Rather than face trial for crimes they would rather say there have always been border problems.
What crime are you talking about? And, I'm saying there has always been illegal border crossings because it's the numbers that are relative not the fact that it happens.
The Biden administration has lost track of 80,000 children. What have they done to find them?
I've seen this story. These are children that have been left with family members in the USA and over time they lost contact with them for reasons unknown.
These people should be prosecuted and jailed.
What for? Losing contact? People can move and people can change phones numbers.
While Joe lies about simply needing more money (what he does with more money is PROCESS more into our country and cut razor wire to let more in) more women are being raped and more children trafficked. You're right about one thing, the lies are not helping.
I don't know why you would assume it's a lie that the border resources are stretched beyond capacity to process these people as the law requires.

Although you and I both agree on being compassionate towards immigrants who are desperate and are sincerely seeking a better life for themselves and their families, entering the US ILLEGALLY is still not justified. We have laws for a reason. I don't agree that the vast majority of immigrants pouring into our country today ILLEGALLY are necessarily these types of people. With everything that has transpired under the Biden administration, I see too many of them looking for golden opportunities and free hand outs.

I think that if they were willing to walk thousands of miles through jungles and desert some even carrying their children, then they're desperate people. I therefore would not doubt their willingness to work and be productive citizens.

Even though seeking asylum is not illegal, I think it's common sense that committing a misdemeanor offense is justifiable if it saves lives. After all it's the spirit of the law that matters not the letter. As such, Loving God with all the heart mind and soul and loving others as I would want to be loved is a morality without hypocrisy, and it is God's perfect law which is how I am aware I will be judged according to what measure I judge others.
I believe that you underestimate the dangers and problems associated with allowing such a huge number of ILLEGAL immigrants to continuously pour into the US. Where is your same compassion for US citizens already here being effected by this out of control invasion?
I get your point that accommodating all these people is a serious issue, but I'm not just going to jump off a cliff with fear because political pundits are telling me it's time to panic. I want sane leadership in America not someone afraid of being eaten by squirrels. I really do believe the problem begins in the countries these people are fleeing from, and as a practical matter it needs to be approached and handled there.

Meanwhile when I weigh your question about compassion for U.S. citizens it's clear to me that compassion will favor those who suffer the most. I actually see the cross as a one day at a time perseverance in Love. My mindset is to each day expect the worse and hope for the best, whereby I bring extra oil so that my lamp doesn't go out as I'm awaiting the groom. What's more, I have trusted in the lesson of the story of how the loaves and fish multiplied and it has never failed me my entire life. So, I have learned to put my trust in God's providence and as I walk through the fire I fear Him who can destroy the body and soul in fire more than I fear those who can only destroy my body.
I have often wondered why the Biden administration is so adamant about flooding America with ILLEGAL immigrants, but now that reason is becoming more and more obvious. Here is a speech from Biden while he was still Vice President which was an eye opener for me!

I don't know what you mean. It sounds like Joe is saying what he sees coming. What exactly does he say that bothers you?

When Republicans say what Biden said it’s called the Great Replacement Theory, a racist conspiracy theory

The majority of the illegal immigration are visa overstays. They have outnumbered border crossings for at least a decade, if not more.
The numbers have dramatically changed since Joe Biden took office. About FIFTEEN MILLION have crossed our border on land under the Joe Biden regime. Joe just told people to "come" so I have no doubt that some applied for a visa with the intention to overstay, but you are deflecting away from the true disaster. That disaster includes women being raped or killed on their journey, children being sex trafficked in record numbers or used as slave labor, and terrorists and spies entering the U.S. We are seeing the re-introduction of slavery into our country with the cartels overseeing and being helped with transportation by the administration.

That leaves them, what? 100 billion behind Ukraine?
Ukraine has recieved a total of ~$75 billion in aid from the US over two years, so no.

Okay. That’s including equipment and ammunition?

Crossings are up, partially because of the backlog and I have no doubt that people think Biden will be more favorable and are coming based on that, but they arent as high as it is being claimed. We have changed how we count crossings, as I explained earlier, and even within the data, if someone is returned multiple times, each time counts as a separate encounter.

Child labor and immigrants are being exploited because of their status, but I never hear anyone here recommend doing anything to the employers. I was in a twitter space the other day and there was a guy who said he was a business owner simultaneously complaining about all the immigrants coming here that he wanted deported AND the fact he couldn't hire them for cheap because of e‐verify.

The GOP is rolling back child labor laws in several places. In Florida, when there was an amendment to require businesses notify parents of sexual harassment incidents, it was voted down. Remove the space before status if tweet doesn't embed.

Slavery never left this country. See the prison industrial complex.

I agree we should be concerned about bad actors entering the country, but being killed by a terrorist crossing the border is highly unlikely.

Those women and children are in danger whether they stay at home or come here.

In addition to what the other posters noted about the funding for Ukraine, the number I linked was just two big supplemental bills and don't include the normal payments the US government makes to or for Texas.

Do you have any documentation for your numbers claimed under the Biden administration? Give us some numbers, you said there are more stay behinds for expired visas, what are the numbers the Biden administration claims for you expired visas for each of 2021, 2022, and 2023? And how many have crossed the border for those years according to Joe?

Yep it is how they pay their debt to the Cartels. It is slavery and misery.

For every piece of wire cut down to allow the massive illegal immigration to continue, Texas will continue to put up more concertina wires to replace it.

Sometimes, Fox News articles will request an email account to grant free access to their articles.

Cutting up women and children who might be seeking asylum doesn't seem consistent with Christian ethics.
