Arrests of Individuals with Criminal Convictions

The term “criminal noncitizens” refers to individuals who have been convicted of one or more crimes, whether in the United States or abroad, prior to interdiction by the U.S. Border Patrol; it does not include convictions for conduct that is not deemed criminal by the United States. Arrests of criminal noncitizens are a subset of total apprehensions by U.S. Border Patrol.

Fiscal Year 2024 runs October 1, 2023- September 30, 2024.

Here are up-to-date CBP arrests so you can see the numbers under both the Trump administration AND Biden administration. There are some bad dudes coming into the country and they are not here to suddenly give up a life of crime. The U.S. provides many new opportunities and victims.
The Border Patrol apprehends people at or near the border. If you want to make your point you should use ICE numbers.

Are NY and Chicago’s economies being boosted right now? If illegal immigrants are such a positive factor what are these mayors complaining about?
That these people are being dumped with no warning and no support.

Those arriving 'organically' arrive for a reason. Their cousin can get them a job here or there and let them stay on their sofa until they get set up.

Yes, it seems like they are...

Business Establishments Up Citywide, Especially in Brooklyn

The number of business establishments in New York City, defined by the Census Bureau as a single physical location where business is conducted, such as a store or office, increased 2.2% between the third quarter of 2019 and the same quarter of 2022, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages.1

U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. "Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages."

Every borough except for Manhattan has more physical businesses today than before the pandemic.

Housing, mostly. Lots of jobs for them, but not enough housing. Very typical in NY and Chicago.
Yes Tyson is seeking them to work in there meat processing plants and offering them free legal services but they’re not taking any jobs away from US citizens are they? And your statistics there seem to be from before all those bus loads of people started coming

I don’t think anyone is forcing them to take the bus to NY. Biden is flying them in, buses, planes whats the difference?

It's pretty hard to try and explain away from those numbers, eh? To think one political party would deliberately devastate our nation to such a degree.

Isn't it a contest, to see which party gets to devistate the country more?

In many of the early instances -- I don't know if it's continued -- migrants were falsely being told there would be cash assistance, job training, job placement, and other benefits waiting for them.

Well they did get pre loaded debit cards and Tyson just let 1200 workers go but is hiring 2500 asylum seekers to make over $16 an hour and providing them with free legal services and time off to attend court hearings.

True, they aren't...

Immigrants Aren’t Taking Americans’ Jobs, New Study Finds

For one thing, we have a worker shortage in America that's only partially being met by illegal workers. And as the data show, only the lowest-paying jobs are less available when there are many immigrants in an area.

And no, all those statistics are not lying. Fact is, if all the illegal workers were deported tomorrow, we'd go into a recession.

Removing the country’s estimated 8 million unauthorized workers likely won’t be positive for the U.S. economy, according to new research from economists Ryan Edwards and Francesc Ortega at Queens College CUNY. Undocumented workers contribute about 3 percent of private-sector gross domestic product, or about $5 trillion over a decade, according to their paper, published by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Which is why the republicans, when they had the presidency, and control of Congress, didn't do anything to stop it. The guys bankrolling their party wouldn't stand for it. A recession hurts everyone, even the wealthy. Did you really not know this?
