The border is secure because Trump built the wall and Mexico paid for it.

Everybody knows this.
The border is secure because Mayorkas testified to congress that it’s secure. Everyone knows this

Yes. Texas.
Nope, Texas is not an example. That was a right wing narrative that was shown to be false -- it was largely natural gas plants, along with some coal and even a nuclear plant, that caused the issues in Texas. While you may complain about the ABC article, that article does include a quote by Gov. Abbott admitting, "Those coal and natural gas power generating facilities either froze up or had mechanical failure, and we're incapable of adding power to the power grid."

For the topic of this thread, that would mean the Texas Governor needs to comply with the decision of the United States Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court decision was a temporary decision, I think it is likely the final decision will be different.

That's an opinion piece. Texas power issues are of their own making. The Texas power grid was deregulated, privatized, and removed from interconnected networks to avoid federal regulation. They aren't required to winterize their equipment. They said it failed in the winter because it is designed for heat, then it failed in the summer. Judges have ruled the power companies are not obligated to provide power in emergencies.

It was the natural gas that failed. Abbott said the pipelines frozen but here is a better explanation on that:

Wind and solar did not cause their issues.

Rick Perry said Texas is more than happy to suffer blackouts if it keeps the feds out their power grid. They've known since at least 2011 the issues at play and have taken no steps to address them.

Final report on Texas 2021 power failure:

The report also partially rebuffed claims that wind and solar energy plants were primarily to blame for the outages, stating that 58% of power generation failures were due to issues with natural gas fired units.

Natural gas fired units were also responsible for nearly all unplanned generation outages. The report states that 87% of unplanned outages were due to natural gas production and processing issues, while the remaining 13% was due to issues with other fuel sources such as oil and coal.

I don’t trust Politifact at all but from what I’ve read from other sources you are correct

Biden can cancel student loan debt after the SCOTUS ruled that he couldn’t, you mean defying the SC like that?
Exactly! The hypocrisy from the left never ceases to amaze me and speaking of hypocrisy, just recently, Kamala Harris made a statement that we could lose this democracy if we elect a President who would weaponize the DOJ and go after their political enemies. o_O

As usual, accusing others of EXACTLY what they themselves are doing!

Yes. They might as well say, “Don’t elect anyone who will do what we’re doing.”
They are scared to death that someone will use the tactics they are using against them

Yes, I'm pointing out that the devil=accuser/slanderer, but I'm not slandering anyone nor am I going to believe/entertain slander about others including Biden.

These are your words: .... the Biden administration's ILLEGAL immigration invasion of America scheme, accompanied by a human trafficking crisis, a fentanol crisis, and a strain on our economy is not about compassion.

I'm not going to believe or entertain any slander that Biden has schemed to unleash an illegal invasion upon America accompanied with human trafficking, fentanyl, etc...
Taking the moral high ground, huh? Slander huh? So, the ILLEGAL immigration invasion of America is really not an invasion but is just my imagination? Hmm..

So, thanks to Biden's border policies, an increase in human trafficking is also just my imagination?

Also, thanks to the border crisis, fentanyl deaths have not increased dramatically in America and are also just my imagination?

Finally, no strain on our economy due to the border crises either. Also, just my imagination?

But wait, this ILLEGAL immigration invasion of America is really all about compassion, right?

Border Patrol Union - NBPC

@BPUnion

Rank-and file BP agents are not going to start arresting TX NG members for following their LAWFUL orders. That's fake news. TX NG and rank-and-file BP agents work together and respect each other's jobs. Period. If TX NG members have LAWFUL orders, then they have to carry out those orders. TX NG members realize that rank-and-file BP agents have their orders as well. Lawful orders, no matter how unpopular or distasteful amongst rank-and-file agents, must be followed. Unlawful orders (as determined by competent legal counsel and not what some outhouse lawyer behind a keyboard says) will not be followed. Rank-and-file BP agents appreciate and respect what TX has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America. We want to be perfectly clear, there is no fight between rank-and-file BP agents and the TX NG, Gov. Abott, or TX DPS. It may make flashy headlines, but it simply isn't true.

That is a post from the border patrol union, not something that I wrote

Yes, that's clear. What isn't clear is why the Union would feel they need to write that unless someone was claiming border patrol agents would arrest National Guard members.
