Keep reading. Apparently, God's words are stopped by cave walls.
Ya ... when Jesus selected His disciples -- Bartholomew, for instance -- 10,000 Bartholomews responded; didn't they?

That's inane. They merely claimed to rise from the dead.

The gods are veils for fallen angels to hide behind. They are liars. Every one of them.

But, be that as it may. Have a nice day. There is no reasoning with you. You have no solid grasp on what you speak, and live under the assumption that no one else does either. You presume the other one speaking is just as much in the dark as you are.

:preach: emptiness and darkness are hiding from the light, lest death be destroyed by life.

I understand. I have always found it difficult to talk with those who dismiss Hume's Maxim out of hand, and you're no exception. At some point in time however, it may behoove you to sharpen your analytical a bit so as to develop discernment over supportable claims compared to unsupportable claims. This is a valuable life skill to hone and employ when examining your personal beliefs and the claims of others.

Be that as it may, I suspect you might completely ignore what I've said, and regurgitate some obscure bible verse, thinking you've somehow made a salient response.

:preach: Logic and reason can be yours too. It's just not for free-thinkers!

Rising from the dead, not so unique. A lot of gods have defeated death. It's nothing new.

My mistake... I presumed to know what you were talking about. Tell us exactly what you mean when you said that these gods *defeated death.* What does that mean? Defeated death? Explain, please.

All we need is the wine.

^_^

That would be good..

Mark 14:23-24
And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks
he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. And
he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many.

Your Jesus wasn't the first, nor was he the last.

Dying-and-rising god - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Interesting difference. As God he was not able to die. It would have been impossible to die. Those alleged gods were inferior to the God who can not die. They died!

That is why the Lord God of Israel first had to become as a man. The man died, not God.

Those gods were weak and not equal to God if they died.

Until I believed Jesus died for my sins ( because I did not deny I was a sinner )...and was then filled with the Holy Spirit? I thought the resurrection was a perplexing myth. Why do they need to believe that for? Must have an irrational fear of death..

And, if I remained an unbeliever, and was still thinking it was a myth? I would never have bothered to do what you are doing here. I believe what you pursue here must stem from a resentment you hold towards Christians because they believe the atheist will burn in Hell.

As for me? I still would not have wasted any time with them if they thought I would burn in what I would see as an imaginary Hell. If they want to believe in fairy tales? Why should that concern me?

Another thing that perplexes me about the atheists. Something that I have witnessed to, and quite often.... I always found it beneath myself to pick on anyone who was mentally deficient... Like atheists see Christians.

If I wanted to spend my time pursuing my time with something like that? I would have wanted to become a psychiatrist and would have done studies at mental institutions of the delusional. But, I would have never mocked them. After all, if a delusional person told me a big lion would eat me up if I did not treat them like Napoleon? For sure, I would have not taken it personally. Nor, would I lecture them on logic. I would have seen that as a stupid thing to do under those circumstances.

No... I brought up vino.

Should I be civilized like those who are against Christianity who glory in the right to a bloody abortion? How civilized.

Even a small box is voluminous compared to your myths.

That is correct. I do have a very small collection of myths that I have studied.

But, what has that got to do with the living God who still saves? The one who created your ability for brain function? He is quite the creative genius!

So the divine part of Jesus survived while the human side died?

If that's true, than Jesus didn't resurrect from the dead, he only lost the mortal part of him.

Funny to hear the word "civilized" from a Christian. The Old Testament is hardly anything but civil.

What you just said? It inspired me to ask you the following: Will you enjoy tomorrow, your breakfast that you ate last Wednesday?

You were blurring the attributes of Jesus past and attributes of Jesus present together as one and the same. He did not walk the earth in the form of Deity. Only humanity. To die as one of us, for all of us.

Jesus was before the Incarnation eternally existing in the form of God. Who in the Incarnation made himself to become as a man as he took on human flesh..He became body and soul... not Deity. . But that was not to be forever!

What he was as he walked the earth is not what He now is. He ceased being as a mere man after the resurrection, especially after he ascended and returned to his glory.

You just flipped a deck of cards of of his various attributes and placed them in one sequence of time. Jesus has not resurrected anyone from the dead. If he did? None of them would have died later on. For, Jesus resuscitated others who had died, not resurrected them. Those he rose from the dead, died again are now awaiting their resurrection.

The only one who is resurrected at present is the Lord Himself. The Resurrection of the saints has not as of yet taken place.

Name who was civilized during that era? Name one.

Its why we see what we do for that era. For, God was working within the context of first getting primitive man to become civilized. That is why He gave the Jews the Law. God was in the process of housebreaking mankind... one people at a time.
