That is how the underside of clouds are lit from sunlight. Because the light that lights up the clouds (undersides) is being reflected off of the surface of the earth.
This is, of course, complete nonsense. If this were true then the undersides of clouds, aircraft, birds, etc would be similarly lit up throughout the day, not just at sunrise and sunset.

Perspective means that the object is to far away for us to perceive.
Not according to the Cambridge dictionary:

the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance:

When I watch a ship approaching the horizon, it doesn't get so small that I can't see it, (I can still see it when it's on the horizon) but as soon as it goes beyond the horizon, I can no longer see it, even with binoculars. So it's not disappearing because it's too far away to see. If that were the case, it would just get smaller and smaller until I could no longer see it, and if I used binoculars, I'd be able to see it again.

The ship should zoom right back in, are your binoculars strong enough ? Most people use a PK900.

But even ordinary binoculars should bring the ship back into my vision if it's just gone over the horizon and simply too far away to see. They don't. I'm sure somebody who is a sailor (I'm not) who uses binoculars to view other ships would be able to tell you that binoculars cannot make things beyond the horizon visible.

Not so, anybody can do it.

They can't. If they could, then all the threads that exist about flat earth versus spherical earth wouldn't be here, because if it were true that anybody can see things beyond the horizon by using powerful enough binoculars or a telescope, that would prove that the earth is flat. I have tried it (just because of posts like this) and as I have said, as soon as a ship has disappeared beyond the horizon, using binoculars does not make the ship visible again. I remind you that I live in Paignton, on the South Devon coast, and from my living room window, I have a clear view of the sea.

As a HAM radio operator, I suspect @Jipsah might be familiar with the PK900, but I doubt anyone else would be. Or perhaps you meant this PK900? useful for covering the load on your truck but not especially for improving visibility of distant objects.

Still doesn't make objects reappear that have gone beyond the horizon. We've gone over this before. I have used a telescope several times and can confirm that whatever is hidden by the horizon on large ships, is still hidden when zooming in. All the examples given by flat earthers are always small vessels that have disappeared due to being smaller than the resolution of the camera but are still in front of the horizon. They come into view when zooming in because they had never gone over the horizon in the first place. It is a blatantly dishonest claim made by flat earthers.

While I've never heard of the PK900 modem, this did take down memory lane back to when I worked on 'walkie-talkie' radios where we used software running on the 68HC11 processor for the FFSK modem and other signalling.

Agreed.

A far better 'test' or experiement is to observe an island a few miles out to sea, or the other end of a bay. Assuming suitable distances - you can see the island from the top of a hill or cliff but as you desend to sea level the island disappears from sight. The island has not moved further away and got smaller due to perspective (you will usually be slightly closer at sea level). If you cannot see the island then it is because the island is now beyond the horizon, not because it is too far away to see (you are now slightly closer, not further away). This would not happen if the earth was flat.
