They certainly can.

Conservatives would support the US "deep state" in a second of they thought it aligned with their values. Many are quite sympathetic to the Russian "deep state" because they mumble about traditional values and stuff.

Patriarch Kiril is either a deluded madman, or a wolf in sheep's clothing. But I disagree about the whole "deep state" conspiracy theory stuff. It is well known that the Russian Orthodox hierarchy is just a tool of Russian nationalists, even inside Russia to those who are informed. The moral posturing is just that, posturing and deception, a bit of Christian piety to gloss over a blood-drenched agenda.

Yes. The leader of the Russian Church is KGB.
The Russian Church is a Deep State Church.

In the US, we have a "Deep State" intel community that colludes with one political party; and decides what is Russian "misinformation"; then colludes with tech companies to censor info. Very KGB-like.

In Russia, the KGB is their own "Deep State"; but it does not collude with the State. It is the state.
Russia is a Deep State country. and the Church is a deep state church.

Conservatives who are against the Deep State in US; cannot support another Deep State in Russia.

The existence of the deep state is not the problem. The problem with the US deep state is that it willfully disregards the aims of the elected officials that it exists to serve and pursues its own private agenda.

Russia’s deep state has no such problem.

Russia’s deep state has no such problem.

Elections in Russia are a sham, with intimidation and threats being routinely used to rig the outcomes.

Generally freer and fairer than elections in West. Putin’s approval rating is high enough that he doesn’t need to rig elections to win.

Elected or not, the point is that the Russian deep state doesn’t appear to be subverting the president that it is supposed to be working for.

understood its information that everyones seemed to forget...that should NOT be forgotten

Wrong topic.

We're discussing the way Russian state has co-opted its church and how theyve shut the door on other Christians.
I might start another thread myself on this subject.

However, just to respond to the "denazification" claim:
Russia has its own Neo-nazis and white nationalists. They have not been recalled by either Moscow or the KGB seperatists in Ukraine.

As reported in this article.
Russian Neo-Nazis Participate in ‘Denazifying’ Ukraine – Der Spiegel - The Moscow Times

The Azov battlation and such; are a small number in a country of 50+ million. 70% of whom voted for a Jewish president. So the KGB is once again taking Ukraine's problems and blowing them out of proportion to make the Ukrainians look like the 4th Reich.

"Denazification" is an old Marxist tactic of cancel culture.
Justin Trudea of Canada does the same thing. He looked at the Trucker protesters and labeled them all Nazis because some were waiving a Nazi flag; therefore ALL TRUCKERS he said must be nazis.and the media helped him.

...the Russian deep state doesn’t appear to be subverting the president that it is supposed to be working for.

The Russian Deep State doesn't subvert the president because the president is a member of the Deep State himself - the KGB.

In the US, the trend of collusion by the intel services and politics needs to be stopped because we don't want to be like the KGB.

Mr. Putin was the head of the KGB (FSB) before he became President. and the leader of the Russian Church is also KGB. A deep state country indeed.

...Generally (Russia has) freer and fairer than elections in West....

Yes and No.
BREXIT is the biggest threat to the EU's globalist agenda; and YET Brexit was still allowed to happen. The Deep States in Europe seem to still respect Democracy.

In the UK, Conservatives have either gained or held power in elections in 2016, 2017, and 2019.

This is what we want here in the US; a Deep State & Tech companies that stay out of politics; and respect elections.

Sweden & Italy recently elected conservative populist governments.

I don't recall any significant efforts to criminlize Brexiteers & populists with false charges of Treason and Russia collusion hoaxes.

So free when the state outlaws meaningful opposition and jails political rivals.

Yes. Even even religious "rivals".

Quote:
"The Russian Supreme Court has banned Jehovah's Witnesses. All their property and belongings will be handed over to the Russian state."

Pogroms. in the 21st century. Similar to what was done to the Jewish people in Germany WW2. Confiscation of property. And Russia has the gull to accuse Ukraine of nazism.

Wow. I guess it's kind of sweet that you think that...

Elected or not, the point is that the Russian deep state doesn’t appear to be subverting the president that it is supposed to be working for.
The deep state isn't supposed to be working for any man, but for the country and its laws.
