  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The river (I would love any comments please be nice)

Drifting on a sail less boat, The banks lined with flora and dragonflies, A timeline that ebb and flows, While twilight brings home the night, Ghostly apparitions of mist and smoke, These are memories waving goodbye out of sight, I want to stay but the tides dictate where I go, The moon...

    Living in the moment

I was listening to the rain, Pitter patter against the window pane, Cooling breeze gently swaying trees, Birds in shelter beneath the dancing leaves, Wind chimes serenade those by the awning eave, Pink and red roses line the fence and interweave, Enjoying the splendor of the soft rain before...

    My emotive

It was slithering on its belly, Figuring out how to make it end, Dropping coins out for a beggar, One that it could befriend, Following me in confusion, Until I'm skeletal remains of sin, Whisper insincere conclusions, Until my outside burns within. See my shadow shifting, Stretching up and...

    The Prodigal Daughter

A Poem about Why I Believe

We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God's service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. Ecclesiastes 11:3

Oh, how we sometimes ignorantly right off what God's Word is trying to say. I remember one day reading the last part of Ecc 11:3, "and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be." I sarcastically responded "Oh, that is...

    Witness

My mind has been a cavern where I walked with You while horrifying thoughts erupted; the kind by which most people would be shocked, and sometimes spewing uninterrupted. And as You walked with me within that cave, I noticed I could watch the thoughts erupt with a measure of tranquility You gave...
