  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What it means to fear God

This is what it means to fear God... Judgment day is today; the eyes of the judge are on you at this very moment, so prove your case to him while it is time. A blind faith that Jesus came so that God's eyes have been made blind to a corrupted life is an ignorant hope. Jesus came to show each...

Receiving criticism, backlash and judgement from family over not celebrating the holidays

Before I begin, I just want to make it clear that I do not condemn anyone who does celebrate the holidays nor do I think it necessary to stay away from holidays in order to be saved. That is just completely unbiblical. However, I do believe many of the larger holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.)...

A few questions on the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Hi, my name is Ashlee, I'm doing research on how Christian beliefs on the second coming differ. I have 3 sets of questions that shouldn't take long to answer, I would love anyone to participate. I will be recording these answers (all anonymously of course :) ), but if you wouldn't mind sharing...

    Aerial Tool Houses

The teaching of Aerial Toll-Houses regards the soul's journey after its departure from the body, and is related to the particular judgment. In its most general form, it refers to the idea that after death, the demons attempt to find a basis for taking the soul to Hades, while the angels defend...

    The Sheep And The Goats

Throughout Jesus’ ministry He taught us a great deal about the kingdom of heaven. Yet, are we really listening or are we simply hearing what He said. Take for instance the parable of the sheep and the goats. On the surface, we know that on the day of final judgement Jesus, the King, will...

Love Others, Fear God, And Honor The King!

I share this with you in love hoping we can love one another, fear God, and honor our King Jesus as fellow citizens of heaven. The scriptures clearly tell us that it is God’s place to judge, and yet it is our responsibility to seek to correct a brother or sister where needed. The scriptures tell...

    How Long?

How long? Sly serpent creeps, grim dragon flies O'er all this world he strews his lies. In souls benumbed they spread their roots. In lives bewitched they bear death's fruits. Mankind is blind, the walking dead, Step stumbling hell-ward with each tread. In pride he thinks he steers his ship...

    Psalms 6:10

Can someone explain how this verse can be applied to our lives we live now or does this have to do with judgement day?

    Sheep and Goats

Matthew 25:31-46 talks about The Lord taking the nations of the world and separating them into 2 groups. The sheep are the ones who cared for the sick, gave to the poor, etc., but the Goats did not. Sheep go to heaven, goats to hell. My question is: Do the sheep include atheists and...

I asked someone if God has already punished someone who has been offending me....

and he told me to read the following and I will get my answer....... "It is described this way in the Bible: “Why I say to you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven to men” (Mat 12:31), and “But woe to you...

    Worrying, trusting God

I know there are many scriptures that say to trust God and not to worry about things etc. Would if you're dealing with a situation where you are being harassed/maliciously humiliated and the police don't have enough proof to take action, there is literally no defense....excep e for God. Will...

    Exposing Secrets

We all know God eventually exposes sins but does that happen in this life or only judgment day?

    Stress

I’ve been kind of all over the place recently. I have felt off and on sick the past few days, and some peace but also stress. Sunday I went up to an altar call and was so nervous I looked down and felt like crying and also nauseous (if I remember right) and tired later. I waited a while too...

A new Christian with a lot of questions

Hello! I have recently found my faith and repented to turn to the Lord and will be baptised soon but I have a lot of questions which some of you may be able to answer or give me direction in I'm not expecting answers for all because they will become known as I follow my faith and journey but I...

    God's Timeline

From Creation, to Crucifixion, to Rapture, to Judgment, to Armageddon. Adam was created 4004 B.C. according to the genealogies of The Word. The World: Born in 4004 BC? I will use 4004 B.C. as 0 C.E. And explain the "calendar" of God. 7 year shmitah cycles. 7th year is a sabbatical year. 12 is...

"I didn't choose to be here." Is this thought sinful?

Hi! I am new in Christ and have been with the family for a month now. :) Sometimes I struggle with my thinking and whether or not the thoughts that I have are sinful. The thought that I have had all of my life whenever it comes to religion and the requirements for living is "I never chose to be...

What is the best way to learn, preach or teach Nahum?

I see it is brief, very poetic prose like and seems easy to miss points made It also seems like background from history and archeology might help but shouldn't be taken too much And it appears to balance mercy and judgement to an extent even carrying the verse 'how beautiful on the mountains...

    Bearing Testimony

One of the key lessons we learned when we were on our wilderness journey was how to bear testimony. Bearing testimony means that you witness something and then tell others about what you witnessed. Witness and testimony are words we hear often used in courts of law because they have legal...

    Prayers Requested

I woke up scared this morning, my dream might have affected it, and I know I have not been the best spiritually. I have sinned a lot. I would like to ask for prayers that God will forgive all of my past sins, and give me strong faith in Him, and help me stop sinning. :(

The Lord comes to reveal His Glory among His own

2 Thessalonians 1:4-10 We hold you [Christians] up as a good example of steadfast faith, because you have kept faithful despite difficulties and troubles. This will show the justice of God's judgement, when you prove worthy to partake in the Kingdom, for which you are currently suffering. It is...
